You don’t GET it. There was never 10k season ticket holders left. The match by match day sales were down. Hence the 10k season tickets that were given away. It’s how PR works
Well whatever, whoever didn't give their ST up before the takeover are more bothered about their seat at SJP than they are about NUFC as a whole. And they need to get the **** out to let the true fans back in, selfish ****ers. No wonder the atmosphere is ****, load of ****s who aren't bothered about whats happening on the pitch.
So then I’m allowed to have an opinion on glory hunting Johnny come lately’s crying about not getting tickets aren’t I
Who hasn't got tickets? And Johnny come lately? I've been going since 1996, sorry for being born in 89. Well done in being an old **** and going to games before me.
Why are you so triggered? Something tells me you had a ST under Ashley but you want to pretend you didn't, just admit it mate.
Not according to your last statement. You went when you were 7 in 1996? So with a parent or family friend. You couldn't have gone on your own till you were 16. So that makes it 2005. Hardly a ****ing long time supporter if you walked when the troubles started in 2008 and didn't attend games till 2021 are you? Unless of course you just paid for tickets week in week out making you far worse than season ticket holders who seen what happened in the 90's and knew it would happen again and had a financial commitment to the club.
Irrelevant. i'm talking about ST holders walking or not under Ashley, i'm not even talking about myself, as i didn't have a ST, stop diverting the point.
You haven't got a point. Other than you think a scheme that has been in place for decades should be removed simply because it suits your agenda and your want for getting tickets easier. You then hide behind some fictional bollox that thousands abandoned their season tickets, which is garbage. As pointed out it was the week by week tickets that were effected and the reason the season tickets got given away for free was to fill the ground to impress potential purchasers.....nothing else. For your information 10k half season tickets would have cost about £3m. A drop in the ocean when he was trying to shift interested sales offers from £150m to £300m. Furthermore to get a free half season ticket you had to be nominated by a current season ticket holder. So I'll repeat. Some people left yes. A lot left for other reasons - moving away, getting married, buying a house, having kids, loss of job, umpteen other reasons, not to mention the football was in the main crap.
Some people gave up their ST's, some didn't. Nothing else needs said. You can make excuses for those who stayed all you want, and i'll keep calling them Ashley sympathizers.
So if you continued to go, and people like yourself continued to go, as you stated yourself that you did, albeit it without a season ticket. What does that make you?
So.......a Johnny Come Lately or a fair weather fan or as this lot are going to call it ......a glory hunter. I don't make the rules. .......And before the Ashley sympathiser bollox starts off again. I wasn't going to deny myself the pride and joy that every father should have of seeing my little lads face the first time he entered the stadium, seen the pitch, and soaked in the atmosphere. Which is the exact same reason I'll stand up for my right to buy an extra ticket, so he can sit next to me and I can take my little lad to see the team he loves too.
