Absolutely 100% this. It'll be nice to just have the day out and at least we get a front row seat to the start of the Tan Hag dynasty.
We're experienced at losing finals and at Wembley in particular. It is actually impossible for newcastle to win there .
My best mate was a City supporter back in the day and i remember him going to Wembley for a cup final against Newcastle (would have been about 13 or 14). City won and when he came back next day i thought he would be ecstatic about the win but all he could talk (rave) about was how great the Geordiefans were that shared the hotel with them were that night, said it was an night he would never forget.
I know we will lose the final. I am 33, i still hurt from the 98 and 99 fa cup finals, i'm just going to enjoy the period to the final and hope a miracle happens in the final.
1976 when Newcastle still had Alan Kennedy but he got bored of being a runner up, so went to Liverpool to win some trophies.
Mate ...was seventh time lucky for us ... 4 losing post war FA Cup finals and 2 losing Championship play offs before we beat local rivals Derby County in the play offs ... it's well worth the wait ... and then... rather like buses ... Drew with 'Boro in League Cup final - won replay at Hillsborough Lost to Spurs in League Cup final Beat Tranmere in League Cup final Lost to United in Community Shield Beat Chelsea in FA Cup final Best Citeh in Community Shield
If it hit his hand, then a team mate scored, it's a goal. It hit his hand, then went in off our player, so not a goal.
