So yes, being currently top four level on points with third is a big deal. It's equally a big deal for Newcastle by the way, another manager doing a fine job. The only sticking point is we've not gained any points on Arsenal. Claiming that Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool are **** takes nothing away from what ten Hag has done, he's completely turned a dead duck around following a succession of joke managers. If you look back on the BBC pundit predictions pre season, for instance, how many had United top four? One from memory, maybe two. Admittedly most talk ****e but it shows our improvement against what was expected.
So you underperformed last year and are about where you should be this year, having spent (another) small fortune to do so, whilst other clubs expected to be in the mix have been pretty ****. It's not really a big deal, is it?
