It will, if there's a chance we loan him out now and don't manage to get a replacement in.

That's not what they'll do so the order won't matter ...they'll know the crack

No signings yet, and no real signs of any either.

So I'm somewhat concerned about letting him go now, we know ASM and Joelinton can't lead the line, and at the end of day all our good form last season was when Wood was in that role.

They'll know who the player coming in is mate there's no point worrying about it... we're now beating off much better players with a ****ty stick.

    Ultimately the order is irrelevant

Still think it's possible they do next to nothing just trim the edges off before summer maybe

Trimming the likes of Fraser, Lewis, Ritchie and Laecelles is all okay without bringing anyone in, Wood can't be classed in that lot however, as we're too light in that area.

As I said, we WERE too light with Isak out, but he's back. Most top clubs only have two CF's; Haaland/Alvarez, Jesus/Nketiah, Nunez/Firmino. Chelsea and Man U manage with barely one each.

Wood can definitely leave. Now, if he likes.

I'd keep him and I can see him scoring the winning goal in Wembley next month.

Pity it's only a loan deal. I'd be more excited about us getting a replacement if it were a sale.

Could he play against Man U in the semi, or is he cup-tied. That would be hilarious if he scored against them. <laugh>

I feel sorry for him tbh but he's just not done the business. I hope he does well there...

I also hope we replace him with the boy from Benfica or maddison

Danjuma played under Eddie Howe at Bournemouth during the 2019/20 season and has shown some superb form in Spain, bagging 16 goals last term – six of which came in Villarreal’s run to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Here’s what Talbot told us this afternoon, revealing that versatile winger has been floated our way:

“Arnaut Danjuma has flown to England with his agent to speak to clubs over a possible loan move this January, which Villarreal have sanctioned.

“He has previous with Eddie Howe, but made just four Premier League starts in his only full season under the Newcastle coach after signing from Club Brugge in 2019.

“Since then, he’s shown some great form in Spain and was linked with a move to St James’ Park over the summer, but there are question marks over his attitude an work rate.

“Newcastle are one of several clubs who have been offered the Dutchman, with Everton, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa and Bournemouth all expected to hold talks.

Sounds promising - aside from the "question marks over his attitude and work rate".
