It would be a huge signal if we did genuinely go for him. But I suspect Ashworth has been charged with finding cheaper options - for now.
I don't think he has, mate. I think they know exactly who they want and will just wait as long as it takes, even if it's end of contract. They may find others who they definitively want but even then I think they'd rather have Plan A than settle elsewhere.

Yeah, this precisely. The lesser known younger talent, not the highly sought after established stars all the big clubs chase after. As I said, cheaper alternatives to the likes of Diaby, who has already attracted interest.

We just need Mick and Joe to say there's no way we'll sign Diaby or else they'll eat their hats and then we are sorted. 
Clear plan from the club: Botman, Willock, Isak - all 23 - seems like we arelooking at those with a certain pedigree but with room to develop and improve. Moukoko is a really interesting one, almost looking for 2 generations coming through.
