Potentially our last ever fixture at Goodison. They have 1 more season there but chances are either us or Everton will go down and therefore not play next season.

So our last chance to put an end to the poor run up there... unless we both go down!

Obviously at the moment Che is the better striker than Mara. But, watching him during the Forest game, he looked fed up. Wasn't making many runs into space, wasn't coming short to collect the ball. Was basically in a sort of no-man's-land of his own making. I know Forest defended very well that night, but when your striker's head has dropped, you've got a huge problem. Mara's enthusiasm, or Adarma's for that matter, seems to rub off on the rest of the team.

But, hopefully the City win has galvanised the entire squad, rather than just those playing, and Che has a little more motivation.

To be fair to him, he'd had a few games of chasing lost causes from aimless long balls but if we continue to play like we did against Citeh then i'll think that he will cash in with a few goals.

Everton always get out of it and so do we somehow, I think the Mini-Skates are nailed on to go down with Leeds and possibly Wolves.

Looks like our last league win at Goodison was 1997 and before that 1974. Can he get them to raise their levels for the second time in three days and overcome a very poor record? If he can, there will be cause for optimism. I may even start to look more favourably on things like his relationships with the players and actually reflect that Ralph was not as accessible to the players (see Redmond and Valery comments).
Recently every time a team rocks up at Saints with a dreadful record against us, they manage to get a win. Also players who haven’t scored in my lifetime, arrive at Saints and score a career defining goal. It’s about time Saints turn up at Everton and break our hoodoo, with a 3/4 goal win. As we are still living in a dream world after Wednesday, it could happen. Perhaps, maybe, possibly.

Excited to see if we can carry some momentum here. As someone said, if we start well and score, crowd could make it difficult for Everton. Will be interesting to see if Orsic and Charlie feature.

Makes me think of Swansea. Dicks.

Which didn't work out great for Swansea. I don't think these things generally do...convincing your opposition that their backs are against the wall and they have no choice but to win might not be smart.

The entire Everton board have been told to stay away from Goodison Park today as their safety could come under threat.
