Nah they're not unbeatable. As Tel said Ibra won it almost singlehandedly last time and I'm not sure they've got anyone of that quality now. Hope whoever wins out of us wins it though, we both need a trophy more than the others.
I won't need it if we win mate, London only about an hour n half away. Glad you're all booking up though. Liverpool fans did that for our last league cup semi
@Libby what do you think of your new manager mate? He seems a bit of a mong, got a bit of Ian Holloway about him.
When he was manager at Stoke, we played them in the efl cup, I was sat just to the side of the dugouts, he was effing and blinding at his players most of the game. Shouted something at Ryan Woods, who ran from the centre circle to more or less the touchline, looked straight at him and shouted" **** off you useless ****" , don't think he's a players man.
I like him now he's shown himself to be a bit of a 'character.' Game needs more headbangers in the dugout imo.
I like characters too, certainly not enough of them in the game but he didn't have a decent rapport with his players on that evidence. Most probably the pressure he was under at the time.
Did you see his presser after the game last night? He let fly a bit at his critics, which I think is fair enough. Wears his heart on his sleeve I think. Time will tell about the players, plenty of successful managers have had occasionally volatile relationships with some of their players (Bryan Clough for example).
No I didn't but fair play to him, hate this, you have to be careful what you say bollocks. If you're getting slammed then you have every right to let fly in reply.
Not completely convinced but he's had an impact for sure and the players seem behind him. My biggest concern when he was appointed was style of play but thought we played some decent stuff last night in the first half. Looked bleak after Forest match but he definitely deserves a proper chance now imo. Hopefully he prioritises the Toon games though as he could achieve cult status in just 4 weeks.
