Ok,compare Arsenal's worst start for decades with what our club has been through in the last 18 months. Not many clubs would come through that and still be in with a chance of top 4,by the way if you dispute we are'nt capable of it but think that Arsenal are you truly are deluded.
Says the guy who is calling people '****' and 'twat' for pointing out his grammar is terrible. I know it's not an English forum, but my observation was relevant because I could barely understand the point you were trying to make in your original post. That, and it merely seemed like an attempt to WUM. Anyway, to be more to the point: If we had £100m odd to spend again, I'd like to see us bring in a decent striker, RW and another CB. Also maybe a decent youngster like Hoilett from Blackburn, or Moses from Wigan.
Hang on, you haven't had it that bad. There was no way you were going to go into administration, and your bad start last season wasn't as bad as our crap start this year. I'd say we're about even, but both of us have a shot at 5th, i think spurs will get 4th. They've already beaten both of us this season.
Keep dreaming sunshine. For you this is as good as it is going to get and it's downhill from here on in as reality catches up with you.
Nobody in the club admitted it at the time, but since last October, it's been said (by Purslow, I think) that we were in fact very close. Plus, your start this season was probably about equal to ours last season. You had a reason for it too; you had players missing. We had all our squad available and were still rubbish.
You where still LIVERPOOL in that crisis time. That name always meant you had a potential buyer. Not many clubs would beacause there is only one Liverpool. So lets not go OTT about your climb back up from where you had been in the last season or two. Do you have a chance at the top 4? Yes but in my view its not very good. Your team as an attacking unit are not better then then Chelsea,Spurs and Arsenal. There is a reason you have got as many draws as you have at home. Let not also blame luck. The two teams that came up and also had great chances to win the game at your place just like you did. Thing thing about Wenger teams are that the focus is so much on the attack that once we found our feet we would always cope. Our form shows that.
So you've conceded 4th to Spurs already? Jeez Kyle theres only 11 games gone and their 3 points ahead of us and Arsenal,we both could beat them in the return games so the game inhand becomes invalid.
Spurs are on a great run. As shown today everything seems to be going their way. Also that was their best team. No injuries and that is as good as it gets for Spurs.
Point being we had our worst start for 50 years last season,we were lumbered with a manager that was happy with our performances after defeats and could see positives when we were 2nd from bottom. This is Kenny's first full season and so far hes 3 points off 5th and hes ahead of Arsenal on GD,thats not bad after 11 games.
i watch football every week, have done for well over 10 years, and i have to say Andy Carroll offers nothing. You'd be better off playing Kuyt with Suarez, at least he isn't a lumbering donkey, and he works his arse off.
I think spurs have the advantage over both of us. You lot are too inconsistent, and we're burdened by the fact that RvP will get injured eventually, and we lack a proven goalscorer to replace him.
Oh so you know that for sure do you? I don't expect you to have an intimate knowledge of what was actually happening at our club but I can assure you that had the court decision gone the other way we faced far worse than administration.
'Thats not bad' is not a term that a club like Liverpool should be using. Your team was settled after the Bolton win and you had the chance to really go on a run. You spent the money you did and you had a good start to the season, so for you to be level on points with Arsenal is not very good.
We are NOT inconsistant. Take a look at the stats re goalscoring opportunities. We lead this by a street. In fact we are consistant in not putting those chances away and having a predeliction for hitting the woodwork (we lead that table as well)
andy carroll is 22 years of age,he hasnt even started fullfilling his potential yet.he is your natural english centre forward just like shearer used to be.in 2 or 3 years he will wreck havoc in any teams defence, well no he does now, because they dont no how to defend against him. watching football for over 10 years? well lad you have a fare way to go.
Jack, can you see the diference between 18th and 6th?,this time 12 months ago 18th this season 6th. Thats an improvement.
We are inconsistent at getting results Dave, there's no point trying to skirt around the issue. Arsenal lost two of their key players, we added £50m worth of talent to our squad without letting anyone important, bar Meireles, laeve and we're still level on points with L'Arse. Its not very good to say the least.
