Didnt give Chelsea the lickings of a dog at half time, i think he must have been told to ease up when the game was finished.

, when told yesterday at FT, that "Windass" had put the "wind up" the Mags and Lineker then assured him he wasn't "winding" him up.
I must be one of the few Sunderland fans that quite like Shearer, he's OK as a pundit , not that there is a lot of competition.

As a PUNDIT, he has always been fair to us.

As a N/c FAN, he's allowed to be a tad biased in their favour, much as Lineker is where Leicester are concerned, but the job requires that he treats the rest of the teams fairly, and to date he has shown himself good at that,

He had an on air pop during the world cup when England were playing. "We've been on air for 45 minutes and all you've talked about is Wales".

always seemed to be on MOTD when Newcastle won but not when they lost. Might just be me though.

Yep 100% this ^...in my opinion too.

And, I'm deffo a genuine fan of Shearer as a pundit and as a player.

As a player, he and other ex Mags players over the years which I'm not ashamed to doff my cap to include players like -Keegan, Cole, ....in the 70's Wyn Davies, Nattrass, McFaul, Macdonald, Tudor...etc etc.

Shearer is a very fair pundit...

Regardless of our views about him as a person, there is absolutely no doubting his ability as a centre forward. I also think he is OK as a pundit. There is definitely worse than him around.
