Got that one lined up, I've heard it's pretty depressing do I need to pick the right moment to watch it or is it not so bad? I've seen a couple of the writer/director's other films and found the balance to be fine. Great sense of humour he's got.

Nah to me it was spot on and writer/director got it 100% correct imo.

Nice one, I can take depressing stuff but when it's really grim I'd rather know in advance and pick the right time. He did that 3 Billboards in Ebbing Missouri too, that was a good un.

Watched The Menu (Disney) tonight, great film. Razor sharp skewering of pretentious foodie types, dark, funny and very much its own thing.

Didn't realise this was on Disney will certainly be watching this. Brendon Gleeson is excellent in everything I have watched him in. I watched Calvary on Disney a few months back and enjoyed it think its now on Prime!

The Guard is excellent on Netflix better than In Bruge in my opinion!

Aye The Guard is class. I thought it was the one guy who'd made loads of films but it's two brothers apparently, I looked it up earlier today.

I think The Guard and Calvary is one brother and Bruges, 3 Billboards and Banshees is the other.

That sentence makes no sense as you clearly would watch it <laugh> Yeah I have seen at least the first season or two of it and it was a decent comedy. I then read it had been cancelled so stopped watching.

Treason on Netflix has started off well. only watched 1 episode but there's loads of information in the first episode rather than dragged out for 6.

I was disappointed by that, after a promising start. Plot was full of holes and daft at times, for something supposed to be serious.
For something less serious and allowed to be silly, I enjoyed The Recruit on Netflix

I posted on page 1 of this thread that Schindlers List is my favourite film. It's been on BBC 2 tonight, and watched it again for the umpteenth time.
    Brilliant film.

Watched The Banshees of Inisherin on Saturday night. Not at all what I was expecting, but a very enjoyable film. Probably needs a 2nd watch

The first 2 were class, proper good action films that you didn't have to take too seriously.

The 3rd one was ****e, I turned it off half way through. Not sure I'm arsed about a 4th.
