I have to say, I'd never really heard of Bruno before we signed him last year, likewise Isak. So I trust their judgement.
I knew of - and wanted - Isak. Bruno, though, no idea. Would love to see a quality DM brought in, I think Bruno will be even more devastating if he's moved to the RCM position instead of DCM. Would also like a left back to arrive. Dan's all heart, but for me lacks quality. How many headers has he scored? How many assists? How many crosses? Howe's working with his limitations by having him effectively rotate into a back three, but I think there's a lot of better players out there. Then a hard working, reliable attacking wide player. Finally, and this is likely impossible, another centre back.
What about VVD as the CB? Klippitty might need to sell to buy. After all we all know how hard up they are.
Think they're fine, Klippety put a Nintendo Wii with a balance board on eBay and has been able to submit a £70m bid for Caicedo. He's going to be crying all night now he can't play Mario Kart Wii, but life is not without sacrifice - Klippety just has it much harder than most. Rumour has it he's considering upgrading his O2 contract so he can sell his iPhone 8 to help pay £60m for Gvardiol. Poor bloke.
Jeez, it now sounds like the poor fecker might even have to resort to only having his teeth whitened every other week, to help raise the money for a £100m+ deal for Bellingham.
Somebody - anybody - please help me understand FFP. I'm not sure I'm interpreting it correctly, after Chelsea have had a £112m bid for Enzo Fernandes (understandably) accepted. Didn't they JUST spend £250m in the Summer? How can they, in ****ing 9th or whatever, justify £362m (and counting)?
I am guessing they will pay the fee in stages? I assume, from a commercial standpoint, they are in a very strong position and as such, largely unaffected?
It's 'net' spend so factors in the following: 1) Revenue (including sponsorship deals, match day revenue, player sales, etc.] 2) Spend, including transfer fees 3) How much you give EUFA / FIFA officials to leave you alone.
And with these new investors owning the club… how do they expect to see a return on that investment if their outgoings are massively ahead of their incomings.?
FFP really bites. Ask Everton. It’s evidence of the displaced previous top 4 panicking that they’re about to lose their CL income. Poor buggers - they must hate us
I think this is a rehash from Dietmar Hamann, another ex-Toon who ****ing despises us. It'll take a few windows yet, but the penny will eventually drop. I think it took people (mainly Man U simps) a few years to work out Man City weren't a selling club anymore.
