Who did Critchley say f**k off to at end of the game whilst going on the pitch to clap the fans? The ref?

Very much like Luton going forward in that we didn't make all that many clear cut chances again for all our lovely play. Better though.

I'd have liked to have seen Critcley replace the tiring Willock with Richards and tried to keep them on the defensive longer that 2nd half. Armstrong for Roberts later on as well for me. Was it a weak Dunne header out at the death that gave them their equaliser as the commentator said? Didn't want to watch that sickener again.

Sadly it was Os, but i thought their player came back from an offside position to gather the ball from Dunne's header, think he actually went off the pitch.......

That was an excellent performance. Every one played well. Dykes was outstanding.

Complete annoyance on conceding...more annoyance that we didn't get a free kick for the elbow to kakay..

I hope this has stopped the rot now.
And that Critchley can begin to grow a team. There is a team in there, we just need to start scoring goals

For all our good play, possession and effort I can't recall their keeper making any proper saves and we didn't look like getting a 2nd goal. When Willock went off it was effectively shut up shop time and invited the pressure especially in the space left by the substitution. A massive improvement from the Luton game but we just lack cutting edge in the box. If we can keep the level of intensity we played with and bring more threat to our game we should be ok but I think a striker is a must if we're seriously going to challenge for the play-offs...

After watching their first ever R's match I had to explain to my partner of over 5 years and a former 90 year old Canadian naval intelligence officer that this sort of match outcome was quite typical for QPR, and explained how the team originated in the parish of St. Judes, the patron Saint of lost causes!

They could not understand why the ref played all that extra time on top of ET when it appeared we had put the game to bed. For our Icelandic cod dinner, mashed potatoes, asparagus and carrots I was cut off from consuming any more Guinness to further drown my sorrows.

To the linesman, as he thought that they'd been a pull on Paal as he tries to head away the original clearence. I've seen it a few times, and there's really not much in it. He did give his arm a slight tug, but not enough in my eyes to give a foul. He should've really done better with the header as indeed Dunne should right at the death !

Gutted by the result, but buoyed by the much improved performance. Like said by others, would have taken a point at kick off.

    Onwards and upwards, UR'sssss

Last thought...we play so much better against better teams. We wereplaying more on the counter last night too...and pretty effectively.

I think Critchley is beginning to understand the squad...and look he came in half way through a season, to a squad that felt really let down by their boss who had bought alot of them in ( and they knew Beales heart wasn't in it...long before we did)

    The team...
Chair and Dykes really do have engines on them.
Willcock, when he plays with Chair has added confidence

We are much better team than one who lost to Luton... but like last season we are badly affected by injury and illness. It's come early this season, so hopefully we should get through it.

    Much happier today

Roberts played well I thought, as part of a fluid 3 behind Dykes. This also meant that we could get players closer to Dykes and his game was transformed.
The only way to put Chair and Willock behind 2 strikers would be in a 3-5-2, but that would mean leaving out Tim, leaving the midfield very open.
4-4-2 is the other way, but that would offer little width apart from the full backs and would stick Chair and Willock on each flank.
At least Critchley didn't repeat the disastrous set up we had against Luton.

I reckon it was the lino, who he ripped into for not giving us a foul in the lead up to their goal.

I guess you would call last nights successful line up a 4-2-3-1 and that was great while we had the energy to chase. However, when they are running on empty you have to make changes. Defensively Chair, Willock and Roberts are pretty ineffective. In hindsight Richards for Roberts would have been much better than Adomah. Albert could have then replaced Kakay.
Interesting if we continue 4-2-3-1 is where does Johanssen fit. You are almost left with a choice of dropping Field or Iroegbunam.

Couldn't be offside from Dunne's header mate.

If only Dunne had done what he usually does and powered that header away.

I agree that the subs were poor.
I'd drop Roberts, play Steff and Field holding and put Tim between Chair and Willock. Having said that, if Tim doesn't start it's not the end of the world imo.

Looked it up for confirmation, the 5 added minutes is the MINIMUM the ref must add, the rest he adds on is down to him, however I still think the bare 5 was adequate and his still a gigantic Cnut, but on reflection the improvement in our play was outstanding and if we continue like that we will still make the playoffs <cheers>
