I have to disagree. I think that Steven Tweed (the original Paper Bag Head) and Paul Dyson were worse than Woodgate.

I will try and apply a value to the signings that TP has made since we moved into the prem, in the shape of "Golden Donkeys" - so in this case an award of 5 "Golden Donkeys" means that you are a complete toss pot, O "Golden Donkeys means that you are top notch.
Please remember that these are signings since we moved into the prem.

Kitson £5.5m - 3 Golden Donkeys - never quite made it, although being the Stoke Centre Forward is a thankless task.
Tuncay £4m 2 Golden Donkeys - got the money back for him, and while inconsistent he could trap, pass and beat a man - gives him a head start on most other s in our team!
Jerome £4m 2 Golden Donkeys - given the right service we may get 8 to 10 goals from him.
Walters £3.5m 0 Golden Donkeys - converted me from his inauspicious beginnings. Integral to our team.
Crouch £10m -2 Golden Donkeys - a lot of money, will suffer like every other Stoke Forward from a lack of support and decent service, but will get some goals!
Jones £9m -2 Golden Donkeys (as above).
Gudjohnson -Freebie 5 Golden Donkeys - enough said!

so for the grand total of £84.8m, and 25 players we achieve a total of 61 Golden Donkeys! An average of nearly 2.5 GD's every time TP makes a signing - would you let him spend your money?
