Wouldn’t be surprised if we draw or win, even if we should expect defeat. We’re struggling to break teams down but for those who think they can beat us we do well. We can ****house with the best of them, it’s when we have to rely on Longstaff or Wood to get past 9 man defences it goes wrong. Edit: Trippier suspended, we’re definitely getting beat.
I think Newcastle can beat them on their day ..everything always seems worse after a day like yesterday but nufc are still unbeaten in 14 and still have the best defence in the league. It's a game to just look fwd to and enjoy .. the result could be a game changer
Indeed I agree. And let’s not forget we beat them 2-0 last time. Albeit it was a different situation.
Arsenal wont sit back and defend so it will suit us. Hopefully Wilson is available to start. From what I gather Trippier is available to play so we should be able to play our normal first 11. I reckon we could nick this if we can stop them scoring before half time. 0-2
Hmmm I was feeling confident until I started seeing the rest of you feeling the same way . Fancy Newcastle have got arsenals number, but VAR is going to start shafting Newcastle again until they're out the top 4.
As I said on the match day thread Hooper (ref) mouthed the words Not my problem, to Sven at the end of the game where he only played 1and a half minutes for 4 mins added time If it wasn't his problem whose is it You can't speak out for fear of massive fines This is corrupt You can tell that it is the ref who is in control of the game when the linesman do not flag for fouls in front of them Or wait for the ref to signal which way the throw in goes This has something all to do with the refs points scoring system that they use for promotion, it is corrupt as all linesman are qualified refs
But it can’t just go against us then. It goes against a lot of not top 6 sides. Some decisions are borderline farcical. And with all the technology. It’s clear it’s corrupt.
Correct This then goes to the people in Stockley Park where their are ex premier refs with no accountability Only if and it's a big if independant TV companies highlight the most outrageous decisions does any action happen I.e us V Palace and the uproar was so deafening against the VAR official that Mason was removed from the spotlight for 2 weeks only so many other mistakes happen that are not so obvious All 50-50 decisions will favour the dirty 6 unless they are playing each other
