I actually don’t think Leicester will want to sell in January especially after the way they played without him against us. They are still in a relegation fight and they need him. Apparently they have an option to extend his contract another year and I think they will do that and then see where they stand at end of season.
Yeah, don't think Leicester will release him too easily - unless he kicks up, but I don't think he's that type. Would really like to have him here, but if Leicester really play hard ball then I guess we look elsewhere. Plenty of other options and no doubt Ashworth has his sights on a few already.
That's a great point. Howe must be gaining a reputation for improving players. Some will surely like the idea of that, as well as the project ... I'm genuinely excited to see who our recruitment guys are targeting. Our owners won't want to risk our 2022 form to be busted by injuries, so I feel sure they'll invest again in January.
James Maddison: Leicester midfielder sees knee specialist https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64108508
It's a misunderstanding. The press asked NUFC if Maddison was signing and were told that he sees nee specialist. They then asked if he was due to sign so be prepared tomorrow to be told there's a problem with his eye's.
