A few years ago, Danny Baker had a little feature on his radio show about people with names that sounded like famous people. Someone called in saying their name was Christopher Moss, which didn't impress Baker much. 'Yes, but I'm a Catholic priest', the fella said. After a couple of seconds the penny dropped for Baker. 'You're Father Chris Moss!', he exclaimed.
I guess the Sunderland and Millwall wins already in today were good for us although draws would probably have been better outcomes.
Games done and good results for us, unless we lose. Coventry, Preston and Stoke getting one point between them (to the latter). Keeps them behind us for now.
Hard to see anyone catching Burnley and Shef. Utd with those points and huge goal difference - even if it is only half way through the season. Can certainly see WBA pushing for a play-off place, but to be honest any team with a good run of games could get in the top six of this division.
3 points between Norwich in 5th place and Reading in 16th place, the January window may prove decisive as without more firepower we're heading only one way...
The worry for me is we will end up much tighter at the back and continue to be poor in front of goal. That only means one thing … more games similar to Cardiff (A). I hope very very much I am wrong.
Appears that with Burnley and Sheff Utd. so far ahead to secure the top two promotion places we are likely duking it out for one of the four playoff spots (possible shades of Derby at Wembley and Bobby Z?).
