After making it onto the M3 we suddenly realised we forgot the tickets a quick dash back and we were on the road again and made it just in time for kick off,

Anyways my personal ratings

Davis -6 not a lot to do. However a few sketchy saves
Richardson - 7 played fairly well, supplied a few nice crosses
Fonte - 5/6 not his best, what boots was he playing in slipping everywhere
Hooivield -7/8 look very steady at the back and won a lot in the air
Fox - 6/7 didn't actually notice him alot during the game got forward a few times too
Schneiderlin - 7 had control of the game in first half with cork lost a bit in 2nd half
Cork - 8 worked very hard and pressed them very well
Guly -9 (Motm) so effective played a massive part in all 4 goals scoring one two direct assists and then winning a header he never should have and played a great ball down the line. usual Guly moran moments aswell but hey he is Brazilian that's what you get.
Chaplow -8 not as great as his last couple worked his socks off made a few nice runs.
Lallana -6/7 not his best first touch quite heavy didn't attack players like usual but played some very nice one touch passing.
Lambert -6 very quiet and sluggish great passer of the ball though

Subs : Connolly n/a
Hammond -7 we looked more in control and composed with him on
Steeeve De Ridder -8 looked threatening great mind and play a real impact and a goal

De Ridder only spent 10 mins on the pitch so an 8 is probably a bit high, agree with the others though

The radio said that Lambert looked like he'd sprained his ankle just before half time. Obviously not if he saw out the match.

he looked as if he was hobbling at about 45mins so got through til half time must have been alright in the end, put de ridder as an 8 for what he played in that last 10mins we had a spark up top and threatened everytime he got the ball

Guly's form has taken a huge upturn since NA put him up front with Rickie. I think striker was always his natural position and now we're seeing the best of him.

Fox was immense yesterday! his cross for the third was beautiful and his technical ability is superb. He is fast becoming one of my favourite players.

Winning when your not at your best, didn't somebody say something about that meaning something or something?

At the start of our League One campaign last season Guly played upfront with Lambert, especially away from home and their physical and aerial ability was often necessary at tough away games.
