Which is why it's funny that Morocco knocked them out in the quarters

This really is an unnecessary comment.

Genuine question: have the commentators realised that Mbappe and Griezmann already won a World Cup four years ago? The way they were carrying on at full time made it seem like they weren't aware

Trust me, compared to you I feel pretty good about myself.

You’re a grown man who calls teams and players by immature nicknames and you spend pretty much all of your day on the very forums, social media apps etc that you clearly detest.

    Strange guy

So Messi wins the World Cup, you can bet Ronaldo will be crying himself to sleep tonight, such is the way he is. Maradona is still the GOAT though, he did it on mud bath pitches, against defenders who had licence to tackle at will, and all while under the influence of class A drugs.

So for the Euro leagues, the real WC 2022 begins.

What will be the outcome in terms of increased fatigue
injuries etc to club players (on international duty or not)
as a result of the two fixture compression periods.

Time will tell (hopefully the answer is things did not
significantly increase for the worse) ...

I think all managers are just going to have to act smarter with their squad management plus ensuring they utilise the 5 subs efficiently too. It's gonna be a real slog though, I think a lot of teams will struggle. January's gonna be huge as well, I'm hoping we can bring in 2 or 3.

If WC 2022 as an event is going to be repeatable
(equitable distribution of venue holders is possible in a
time window with the best climate range in that locale for players) ,
then we need the Euro leagues to show that significant worsening
of injuries to players has not occurred this season compared
    to the past.

If for such seasons the 5 sub rule helps in that goal,
    then all well and good.

For the remainder of this PL season, those clubs in UEFA land
now out of the League cup may have a blessing in disguise
(even though the loss of potential competitive games for the
squad as a whole is noted) .

The real question is whether certain clubs were secretly happy at teams underperforming, for example Denmark mistaking being a dark horse for having a complete 'mare meaning the likes of Hojbjerg, Eriksen, Kjaer, Maehle et al getting a couple of weeks more rest than anticipated

Brentford having Jensen, Damsgaard and Norgaard back with some extra rest could be a blessing in the January slog
