You could be forgiven for thinking that when we saw how the French dealt with Saka.It’s called Rugby Union
Because VAR is a joke.
I doubt the VAR decision would have been to award a penalty, had the referee not given it initally.
So, it is a penalty...and isn't one at the same time...
I'm not unhappy with that because the French defenders have consistently brought players down. Their methods are dubious so well done Argentina.
Cheating is cheating...no excuse for the refs and VAR to join in for me.
The French defender was trying to stop the attacker by pushing. I am not happy that it is part of the modern game so I am happy when it's penalised. 3 penalties prodiced by the French against England 2 of which were given is the clue to their method.
I get that the French cheated v England but that don't change the fact that that was a disgraceful decision.
If spurs had conceded it I'd be fuming.
