Scored 91 in 214 for Zagreb and speaks English.
Scored winning goals against us, the Spam and the blue scum.
He's 30 later this month though and signed a new contract in February.
Could end up replacing Zaha at Palace or something for the right price.

Yeah that’s where my surprise has come from, seems a very decent player yet never really seen his name linked to any team in Europe’s top five leagues.

He probably ****ed himself on that front with is early transfers.
Flopped in Italy, then had a bunch of moves to different Asian teams after a short spell in Slovenia.
Moving back to Croatia after that has worked out well for him, in some ways.
Probably screwed him on a really big move though, if that was ever a possibility.

VAR has been awful in this tournament, even worse than in the prem which I didn't think was possible.
And the refs on the pitch have let a lot go
But they have done a good job of adding a proper amount of time for stoppages. Might reduce time wasting and tactical substitutions to cause delay if the same approach was adopted in the PL and elsewhere.

If anything it's the three seasons spent in Korea and China that caused clubs to forget he exists

Which probably explains why his other half can't afford a pair of jeans which don't have holes in them...

Croatia now been 2nd, 3rd & 3rd in their less than 30 years as a competing nation in their own right. Not bad for a country of 4 million people.
Akin to Scotland doing it <laugh>
Scotland have produced some of the worlds best players and in the 1970's they were a match for any team. In the 1970 world cup they frightened Brazil in a draw where Joe Jordan scared them to death. Scotland went home unbeaten. They have provided key players in the great years of United, Liverpool and Spurs and some of the greatest managers in the game.

The jeans with holes in has to be one of the weirdest fashions of all times and maybe slightly disrespectful to people who really are on their uppers.

Yes I know
The Hansen Dalglish, Souness era really underperformed. On paper their team was a match for anyone

1970 Scotland didn't qualify, in 74 they lost 2-0 to Brazil and in 82 they lost 4-1 having scored first. They also drew Brazil in the group stages of 90 & 98 losing 2-1 and 1-0.

Between 1974 and 1998 they qualified for 6/7 finals, playing 18 matches and winning 4, and never getting through the group stages.

Got the date wrong 1974 not 70. Brazil 0 Scotland 0 They also played Brazil in 1966 just before the world cup and drew 1 - 1 https://clarkyboy72.wordpress.com/2...group-b-1974-world-cup-waldstadion-frankfurt/

The starting 11 for Scotland that day was

David Harvey
Sandy Jardine
Danny McGrain
Jim Holton
Martin Buchan
Billy Bremner (C)
David Hay
Kenny Dalglish
Joe Jordan
Peter Lorimer
Willie Morgan

Thats a good side

I'm surprised there's no sign of Archie Gemmill there. Remember him very well from the 1978 World Cup. Did he not feature in '74? Apparently he was born in 1947 so would've been at his prime in '74!
