Chance to give the shopping a miss and ease yourself slowly back into all things Newcastle with a friendly between the form teams (Newcastle unbeaten in 10, RV unbeaten in 6) from the Premier League and La Liga respectively.

Raya Vallecano are obviously no slouches having beaten Real Madrid and drawn with Athletico Madrid on their current run.

Suspect that Newcastle will line up as follows:

Karius
Manquillo
Botman
Burn
Targett
Longstaff
Joelinton
Shelvey
Willock
St Maximin
Wood

Interesting notes on the Rayo Vallecano team:

Florain Lejeune is having a good season for them having played in 12 games and scored 3.

Thought this was a bit racist though. If they didn't have a photo they could have just left it blank:

I’m in the posh seats today.

Will be pretty near to Mandy so if anyone needs any transfer rumours verifying then just let me know.

I’ll be the ‘Adonis’ looking bloke in the D Box (as we regulars call it) Some people, I believe, describe me as a cross between George Clooney and Richard Burton. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard people shout at me when I’ve gone past them “You big Geordie or Dick”. At least that’s what I think they’re shouting….:emoticon-0138-think

I think it's more like 'Nee Clue' not Cloo-ney.

No Miggy, Bruno, Wilson, Schar, Joelinton or Burn in the squad today.

Some probably being rested after WC, but not sure why others are missing.
