Cracking shout, always liked him and pleased hes had a good career since leaving. Gooch i dont include as i class as an academy graduate. So pleased hes played well this yr as he loves the club, he needs to def focus on being a rb as thats def his best position Appreciate all the good luck messages, hopefully ill be a full time one day lol
Such a frustrating player at times. When he keeps it simple he looks such a good player, when he tries too hard and to do too much he gets frustrated and looks poor. Imo.
Sounds great, love how he talks about the long term stuff - hes wanting to set us up for both short n long term success
Cracking player, aggressive CB, decent on the ball and has great potential. Is prone to mistakes and hot head moments but hes young and seems to be cutting those out his game more n more Also meant to be a good lad, used to work with one of his mates and he got us a signed hibs top for 1 of the guys in my team
Always liked this man. Met him once at a driving range with one of his kids, very easy to chat with. Good solid RB, wicked shot and once knocked out Wayne Rooney!
I disagree. You always get more for a player in January and less for a player going into the last year of his contract. RS has already shown he can score goals in this division and I don't think long term his injury will put off potential buyers.
I reckon we can all be confident if he is away Johnson will be singing our praises massively. He loved his time with us, the club, region, fans, structure, everything. I know he wasnt everyones cup of tea but he is a major fan of us.
He is already in last 6 months of his contract, so with option to extend triggered maybe now is the right time. I think we are going to get less than he is worth unfortunately.
If we are going to sell... January is 100% the time to sell. Imo. That's what I said in the first place and I haven't changed my mind. Looks like we will hopefully stay up without him this season so it's about how we spend the money we acquire...
We have a long journey back to where we want to be so in theory every single position is up for grabs if you can get better than what you have within our budget. We also have too many small players so that is also something to consider when buying. We are also desperately needing some experience in the squad. When 1 nil up and struggling the other night, all it needed was a bit of calming down from experienced subs, instead there was only a bench of kids that are no help at all. In my opinion an experienced centre midfielder with some physical stature is top priority. Matete clearly isn't in the current plans. Ba is not to be trusted at this stage of his development other than when were are losing and need someone a bit random to change things, so we are good on numbers but actually thin on quality. A third striker must be on the list. Gooch is OK but he is a converted winger. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hume leave and a right back come in depending on Huggins. Will Wright leave and we bring in another youngun in? Wouldn't rule it out. Dajaku might leave if there's anyone interested.
Don’t think we sign Porteous or any CB this window. Even if Wright goes. Obviously I’d like to but we like to keep a tight squad it seems
I'd be happy to keep Wright given the competition for CB we already have and the positive influence he has on the squad. With Ballard coming back I don't think we need anyone else coming in.
