The papers and betters are closing in on critchley. So far nothing in WLS...the paper that knows. So going to hang on a bit
Reading-up on Neil Critchley, and this bit caught my eye: "He is one of sixteen coaches worldwide to have obtained UEFA's elite badge"** Wouldn't be a bad choice for the R's, just have to be patient and wait and see. I hope the management will be a bit tougher this time as regards to other clubs trying to pinch the new manager. Woefully weak with the MB debacle. **Sorry, no idea what the 'elite badge' is, but sounds pretty grand!
Talksport reporting that ainsworth is in the picture..lovely bloke but wi be seriously underwhelmed if he gets the job.
Yeah, like you, I love the bloke but, based on what I hear (but haven't seen much for myself), his Wycombe side play pretty primitive football. Of course, he's been pretty successful on a limited budget but he doesn't seem to be one of those young, visionary coaches who think deeply about how the game should be played in the 21st century.
Not sure that's right. He seemed to take time to learn from a number of managers he understudied for while Flav and Bernie were playing managerial lotto with the club. He didn't play long ball then with the better calibre of players at his disposal. Let's face it Wycombe don't have the money to go for the luxury of playing a patient passing game and not sure that's what it takes to get out of League One. He chooses his horses for the courses his team plays on. Don't get me wrong, much as I love him, I wouldn't want him back as I think there are managers out there who are available who look more promising.
We certainly don't. Nor do the bloggers who nobody has heard of and who don't know any of the persons involved. But I have no doubt that the Club are going into it very carefully and that Les, and the Board know exactly who they are going for.. Thankfully the days when managers were recruited on the basis that either Tony F had heard of them or Tony F liked them as persons or Tony F played Fifa 20xxxxxxxxxxx with them, have been consigned to history.
