    Aye. My Dad went yesterday. Not unexpected but still a hell of a shock. It's going to be very strange.

    My wife's Grandpa is on the verge too. Palliative care only. Sad, but it's the best thing for him to just slip away

    This is what I love about this place, and in particular the annual Christmas thread.
    I know there's a "things that aren't worth a new thread" thread, but I think the Christmas thread brings out the good in people...just a generally good, warm hearted thread.

    Thanks mate, unfortunately alcohol brings the worst out of people and I'll not put myself through it anymore. She can feck off, as long as I've got my lads that's all I need
