Sad to hear the great man is receiving palliative care.
The greatest player ever to grace a football pitch and his truly was the beautiful game.
I'm sure he's in the minds of football fans everywhere.

So many memories of a brilliant footballer.

If the news is correct I hope his last few days are as peaceful and comfortable as possible.

Indeed but is he the greatest player ever as you describe?
Many could be candidates for that - Best, Cryff, Charles, Maradona, Messi, Beckanbaeur, Matthews, Banks, Di Stefano, Zidane, Ronaldo, Puskas, Moore, Niasse (<whistle>) and on and on....

Sure but my point really is there is no one player whom could be called the greatest - it’s all subjective- but NDAI Pele was truly a great. I can still see him powering home that header to give Brazil the lead in the 1970 final

All worthy of discussion but I'm just with the sad thought of the great man dying.

Not discounting the likes of Puskas and Di Stefano and others but Pele was probably the first worldwide great due to the expansion of television in the late 50's/early 60's.

Added to that he appears to have been a thoroughly good bloke who loved the game.

One of the best footballers of all time. I remember way back when Alan Mullery played for Fulham against Pele’s team Santos at Craven Cottage. Mullery was a tough nut but when he tried to shoulder charge Pele off the ball with all his strength he just bounced off the great man.
RIP Pele, an inspiration and a legend.
