This summer is going to be vital by the looks of it. Joey says he'll consider leaving if we don't sign 5 or 6 Premiership quality players. The pie man HAS to put his hand in his pocket and give Pardew the money from the sale of Carroll and bring in some quality players.
If he doesn't I can see our best players such as Jose and Joey leaving, Italians also sniffing round Jonas. We need to be bringing players who will improve the squad not to replace players that are leaving. I will be really disappointed if we become another selling club like Wigan who have a decent scouting network and uncover some real gems who prove themselves in the Prem only to have them sold.
 
I think we will be palmed off again this summer. The old line "the money was made available but we couldn't find the right players to sepnd it on"
 
So Joey came out about a week or so ago saying he is happy to sign a new contract and to see his time out at NUFC, and now these clowns are running a headline saying he is prepared to walk away unless money is spent.

Yet the article doesn't have him quoted anywhere saying that!!!

It quotes him saying we need to spend to move forward nothing else.

There is nothing on the BBC about Joey or Enrique. BBC is the only source I trust at the mo.

hasn't pardew come out and said he's getting the 35 m and yes he did say Carroll was going no where but that was down to Carroll not the club.
Confident he'll get the dosh.
on a side note about transfer money i wonder how much he'd have got in the summer if carroll had stayed and will this be added to the 35m???

A small part of me doesn't mind it so much. We need everyone to put pressure on Ashley so he will realise the ambitions of the club and spend the money - the fans, the manager and the players.
 
Lets face it every player has their price and to be honest i wouldn't begrudge or blame any of them for leaving under this management, the Press and Public relations at Newcastle nowadays are a shambles, no one has a bloody clue what is going on at the club because Llambias is a total prick!
