Absolute disgrace that FIFA are scrapping the 4-team group format in favour of 3-team groups where the top two qualify for the 2026 World Cup. But it’s completely expected for an organisation as corrupt and loathsome as FIFA. Today’s games and the last games of Group C show how thrilling 4-team groups are and how it can all come down to fine margins in the last group game. Why change it to a format that has less jeopardy and more dead rubber final group games?

i haven't forgiven spain and holland for that disgusting final where both sides should have been down to 7 a side. whatever year it was. both can get lost and i hope they lose every match for eternity.

That was such a boring final. They just kicked lumps out of each other for 120 minutes and Iniesta scored in extra time.
