A lot of places with worse murder rates than the USA. https://www.factsinstitute.com/ranking/countries-by-murder-rate/
I know a Wednesday fan who would hope for that. He moved from where he sat for years at Hillsborough to get away from them. All Wednesday fans he knew couldn’t stand them. Or that fat ****er Tango Man.
Reminds me of the old joke, What's better than daffodils on your piano? Tulips on your organ. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
It’s not about what they report, it’s HOW they report it. Twisting stories to get their angles across. The way you jump on people on here, I’d suspect you’d fit in well with the journalists of the gutter press. As I said in my original post, by the end of the WC, they’ll have something else to get underneath & start twisting it to make everyone get riled up over it.
Reminds me of my late Father,he was an expert Drum Heater! One clout round the lug off him and your ear(and the drum within),was on fire for several hours after the event
Yes, only report what fits in with your view of things. You will love the echo chamber of social media.
You see to me that a total lack of respect for the country that you are visiting and deserve what they get. I certainly don't find it funny at all. Yes Qatar have got so many problems and issues that have been reported and reported again.
You know what I mean. Report FACTS, yes there’s too to be a lot of **** said about Qatar & this World Cup, but does it have anything to do with the football on the pitch? Is it facts or opinions being reported?
That appears to have started as a “joke” on Twitter, but has taken up life because people believe it’s actually happened, with people outraged by it. Although in the comments, many people saying it’s not actually possible, due to their rules on women working, so it’s either be a man or a foreign woman, Filipino. As your in Qatar, what’s your opinion on it.
I didn't watch the first game, but looking at the reports I didn't miss much. It looks as if VARS is working well already, and trying to help the home side. Qatar now being the only host team to lose the first game just about sums up their level.
I'm not seeking argument here but I disagree. Have we become so obsessed by political correctness that a fairly innocent joke causes outrage these days? I have to admit to finding it moderately amusing,in a humorous way,not as some sort of racist slur... In these days of doom and gloom and cost of living issues, are we to simply stop smiling and cracking any kind of joke because there's a risk of upsetting a small minority? What's the mandate here? The abolition of humour?
There's no feel good factor about this WC. Usually tournaments are in our summer time, so people have got the BBQ's going, it's shorts and t-shirt weather, their mates are coming round for a few beers and the cross of St. George is everywhere. Today, it's freezing, I've got extra layers on and I'll be watching the game by myself with a cup of tea. And apart from in Morrisons yesterday, I haven't seen that many England flags around
Yes. And just one place above the socialist paradise of Cuba where guns are not freely available and there is no crime because there is no poverty and everybody is happy.
Which facts about Qatar are you disputing? Should those reporting on the football only voice facts not opinions about what happens on the pitch.
