Got home and Sunset Boulevard is on the telly.
What a class film. Way ahead of its time.
Gloria Swanson puts in one of the finest performances ever playing a character which could've easily described herself.
Edit: followed by Beverley Hills Cop. Just no need to change the channel. Great sound track as well.

Haven't watched Sunset Boulevard since I was young, used to love watching the black and white films on a weekend afternoon.
Matinees
Channel 4 or BBC 2 used to hit them up
particularly enjoyed watching them when I was pulling a sickie from school
Million Dollar Mermaid was a fave oldie, mesmerising.
Me either, just caught it today after decades. Had a few actors of the time playing themselves like Buster Keaton. And she does an impression of Chaplin. All a nod to the silent film era gone to history.
Went through a whole Cagney phase when I was younger.
Whether it was an old war film or a musical it didn't matter I loved them all.
If you're talking black and white movies has to be Angels With Dirty Faces.
