Hopefully we will have learned from the Middlesbrough game and start with intensity. Having seen most of the teams in this division now, I am in no doubt that we are top half (if not top 6) in terms of individual quality. We just need it to click. I think it will today like it did against Rotherham.

Millwall 3 Hull City 5

Or…

We will pass too much, look like a good footballing team, but no one will be brave enough to try to penetrate. Millwall will let us have the ball and then hit us on the counter with some direct forward passing (Honeyman will be outstanding).

Millwall 3 Hull City 0

I’ll be keeping a close eye on the shots on target stat to see which City have turned up.

Team I would go for:

Baxter
Christie Jones Greaves Fleming
Docherty Seri Slater
Pelkas Oscar Sinik

I think Tufan should definitely be used as an impact sub.

Anyway, can’t wait for this one!

This is a tough game for Liam's baptism.Depending on how much knowledge he's picked up in the last few days, I'd expect the odd subtle change in selection and style of play...

I wish him well and if he can start off with a decent performance and result we could well see a feelgood factor kicking in.

I'd take a draw right now because Millwall is a tough gig and they're up near the top for good reason.

Good luck young Rosenior.

Think there’s more chance it would work if we were to try it now. Christie and Fleming are perfect for that and in theory would give us some dynamism and attacking threat as opposed to Coyle and Elder. Probably covers Greaves and Jones weaknesses more as well.

Still leaves that glaring issue in the middle in that we have no one that can win the ball and that won’t disappear until we sign a proper defensive midfielder, no matter what systems or formations are used.
Christie cant mark very well. Weren't a couple of the goals on tuesday down to his ball watching?

Going to have to drive to Millwall tomorrow due to the rail strike. Anyone tried to park close to there before? Always accessed it by train previously. Predictably, the Millwall site doesn't exactly give friendly advice on where to park.
the strike has been cancelled
there may still be disruptions
you can use tube or get a taxi

I’m hoping for the new manager bounce, a draw wouldn’t be a disaster with Rosie just getting the job officially yesterday, only a couple of days training & trying to get his new way of playing into them in such a short space of time.
I’m expecting a narrow loss tomorrow, but like under Daws, a performance that’s an improvement on the lucky early games of the season.
a draw would be fantastic

one of the absolute beauties of the championship is pretty much any team who has a good second half of the season
can go from relegation to the playoffs
this season is incredibly close all through the table

so we could get playoffs just as likely as we are to go down
but until the relegation zone is more than a few games worth of points away
we just need to pickup as much points as possible
no matter how we do it
not the way we are playing

I did the 0-4 under Nigel Pearson...The journey from London Bridge to the ground, in a carriage full of hard Millwall teenage thugs was an eye opener. Actually, in truth they were nothing. One of my lethal farts would have decked them. More interesting on the way back with the coppers holding back their tearaways on the walkway to the platform.

playing 3 centre backs should give him more defensive cover. Obviously there’s still defending to do, and like you say he does get caught napping every now and again but he’s been pretty much our only genuine threat going forward the last 2 games and offers proper width up and down the pitch.

Good luck indeed.

Goes without saying the job in hand is difficult and no matter who everyone wanted still would of been with many other names mentioned on here, On the plus side it’s a fixable situation given time and money and Rossy stands to become an overnight hero on the terraces and in parts of Turkey with the right set of results.

UTT.

What's happened to Harvey Vale I thought he was meant to be the next big thing. Didn't think he would be starting games but thought he would be coming off the bench to make an impact.
