I watched the game on TV (if I had my act together I should have gone and watched it live). I think Afghanistan will cause a lot of problems with their bowling to the more established teams especially whilst defending a total. If they had have got 30-40 runs more it would have been a really tight game. As it was we didn't bat too well, but still did enough.

 

So, just a few hours after Norwich lose dismally to Burnley,
England contrive to lose to Ireland in the T20 world cup.
Not the best sporting day I've ever had

 

Terrible bowling performance. We bang it in short, Ireland fuller getting swing and seam movement. Not good leadership from management.

Edit:- we would not have lost that game with Morgan as captain.

England's highly-anticipated Men's T20 World Cup match against Australia in Melbourne was washed out without a ball being bowled leaving Group 1 wide open.

England will likely have to win their last two games to progress although even that may not be enough.

They are currently second in the table, level on points with leaders New Zealand and Ireland, whose game against Afghanistan was washed out earlier.

Australia also have three points but are in fourth on net run-rate.
