That's the thing, Vin. Pushback is cancellation as far as they're concerned. The idea that people might disagree with you loudly because you didn't do perfunctory research is the very sort of treatment of Joe Rogan that Os is talking about. Sure, nothing bad actually happened to him, but people had harsh things to say about him because he routinely peddles blatant disinformation and amplifies truly odious figures. The nerve! The true meaning of free speech is that one gets to say whatever idiotic thing pops into their head, and then everyone claps. Because anything else, any sort of consequence whatsoever, is cancellation.
On that subject, the husband of the Speaker of the House of the United States Congress was attacked, in his home, by a right-wing loon who had absorbed all of the sorts of conspiracies that now typify the right. That's not supposition, he had a blog where he laid out his beliefs. Paul Pelosi was beaten with a hammer (and had to undergo cranial surgery), and the man intended to either kill the Speaker or, at the very least according to the attacker, to break her kneecaps to 'send a message'. Naturally, the result (beyond making jokes) has been...more conspiracy theories! Primarily, a conspiracy theory (from a notorious fake news site that, among other things, suggested that Hillary Clinton died in 2016 and was replaced by a body double) that the attacker and Paul Pelosi were gay lovers that had an argument. A conspiracy theory that Elon Musk himself amplified: If anyone wants to understand why the government might think that social media disinfo is a real problem, consider that political violence by those on the right has been increasing sharply, and that someone fed a diet of this nonsense just attempted to assassinate the person who is third in line to the presidency. That might be worth combating.
And yet it’s the one’s who check stuff, or who might just know a bit about what’s being spoken about, who are apparently the ones who “believe whatever they’re told”….
Of course they can both be true. They have been massively trying to stop the discourse. Luckily the decentralisation of the internet means they find it harder to suppress the information now. But they still do a fantastic job of only allowing one side of an argument to be covered. My Twitter account came up with a message “You must delete your post or you will be permanently banned” when I mentioned my family members covid vaccine illness. I literally had to delete the post. I wasn’t spreading misinformation. I wasn’t spreading conspiracy theories. I was talking about real life, with evidence. I wonder how many people have been banned, and how many thousands of voices silenced? How has this censorship affected the global discussions? If only one side is allowed to speak, how will we ever find truth?
They tried and failed to cancel Rogan. His following was too big, and the backlash was great. but they 100% tried. There was an organised campaign against him. There were viral posts all of a sudden showing very old podcasts where he was saying controversial things. The viral posts all appeared at once. They were mostly bots. Who was funding these bots? Why?

You now say Thing is, that's not what you said originally is it? You said You said he was cancelled, which you knew to be false, given your second statement above. I had to waste time checking whether the disagreement (that I heard about) had led to cancellation without my noticing. Once again (you have past form), I found that you had posted something that was demonstrably untrue as though it was fact. You need to spend less time in those echo chambers where victimhood doesn't have to be based on anything true and you can just make up any old lies to pretend the wolrd is against you. That behaviour is catching.
As I said, they tried very, very hard. There was a huge smear campaign against him. Some of his podcasts were deleted. It was all over the internet & media that he was racist (demonstrably not true). They DID cancel him. It just didn’t work properly. So my posts were accurate. The same thing happened to Dave Chappelle, Andrew Tate and many others who go against the current main narrative. There is collusion between companies/entities and when they decide they don’t like you, that’s it. No social media, no bank accounts, no phone apps. Even uber stops working.

That post is an utterly dishonest crock of ****. I must remember that when my mechanic tries to start my car and doesn't, it's actually been started. And that when I try to get a game for Saints and fail, I've actually played for Saints. Before you circled down into the cesspool of an echo chamber you're obviously in, you'd have been able to see that and you'd have acknowledged you were wrong.
