It's funny, I was watching the Blackburn stream and there commentary lads said the ref had a great game. There were a number of 50/50 calls that weren't conclusive even after the replay they give you on ifollow, just annoyingly they all went to Blackburn.

I thought that tackle on Seri was an absolute blatant red card though. The lad won the ball, but the follow through was high, out of control and dangerous.
I counted six or seven 50:50’s where the ball went into touch and the ref awarded all to Blackburn, statistically, that seems very unlikely. Right about the Seri challenge, very reckless. Anyone know what the linesmen actually do, apart from waiting for the ref to tel, them?

Good view to watch the game and saves them buying a ticket

Can anybody clarify the rules re subs.
I thought a team could make up to 5 changes but with only 3 breaks in play.
Do half time subs not count in the 3 breaks?

Good away performance from Blackburn they got the goal sat back and soaked up the pressure.
They sit 2nd in a League with no stand out team.

. My first game this season

Welcome back to the MKM mate <cheers>

As others have said, beaten by a better team yesterday. Thought we were off it first half yesterday but couldn't fault the effort 2nd half -just lacking a bit of quality (particularly up front). Hopefully we'll get a 90-minute performance on Tuesday and a positive result

Others have mentioned it but Christ the ref was hard work today. It's been bad all season at home but today was a new high for one-sidedness. I'd love to know what the reason is that we get so many free kicks against us every game. Are we really that dirty? Is it just that we're an easy crowd to give decisions against? That entire second half we had all the ball but the only free kick we got in their half was one out on the wing near the halfway line. That's unheard of when a team has so much of the ball and is pressing for a goal. A few times towards the end there were 50/50s flying in and I thought surely he'll take this opportunity to give us one and redress the balance slightly, but no. I know we're all biased towards our own team and think the ref is against us but I don't know how you could see it any other way today, it was just incredible.
We are **** at cheating. Other teams do it so much better than we do, there's a lack of nous across our team.

Best team won.

No disgrace in that because whilst many will understandably have been disappointed losing at home yesterday it was another sharp reminder of where we really are right now especially when you look at the league positions between the two sides. Not on a downer btw as we have definitely improved under Dawson but to become a good solid Championship side like yesterday’s opposition with the right man in charge it’s going to be a season of stability and hopefully steady improvement which I don’t personally have a problem with.

UTT.

Typical City springs to mind. Just emphasises that the two away wins were either a flash in the pan, or shows just how poor Blackpool and Rotherham were. Probably the latter. With stiffer away games on the horizon. The collapse at home must be addressed ASAP.

Blimey, we were playing a top 2 team and we still didn't do too badly considering we still don't have our first choice 11 on the pitch. Give them a break!

A break? I'd rather have a kit-kat.
If Blackburn are top. I wouldn't like to see the bottom. Just a minute!

Ps. City's home form is crap. 5 defeats in 6. Needs to be addressed ASAP by whoever comes in. Assuming that was Daws last game.

Know what you mean.

I’m just about convinced we won’t go down now because let’s face it up to a few games ago we looked pants. Like another poster suggested the managers name is irrelevant so long as he himself fits into the dressing room and therefore in return extract’s 110% out of each and every player.

Where there any injuries today? Surprised Jones was hooked in front of Fig.
I notice Blackburn only gave Fig the space to pass the ball forward from the back, which far too often resulted in us losing possession. Assume that was why Fig was subbed and Christie went in to that position, with about 10 mins to go. It was a smart move, but very late, as it was fairly obvious what Blackburn were doing.
Jones was hooked to put Greaves back to left side cb, where he belongs, and bring Fleming back to lb, and the team immediately looked more balanced and threatening. We got away with Greaves playing wide left recently, and he did pretty well, but it's not his natural position as he's not quick or mobile enough. Although not match fit, Fleming was tricky and positive and gave Blackburn something to think about.
