I should have known this as it was the first film that Mme and I went to see at the cinema. Whistle down the wind, written by Mary Hayley Bell, with her daughter Hayley Mills playing the lead roll in the film.

Correct, ofh. The name derives from the sound of the wind about their house, ‘The Wick’ in Richmond. Owned by John Mills and Mary Hayley Bell, it later belonged to Ronnie Wood. Wood built a studio there, and whilst guest David Bowie jammed with his Stones pals, they wrote “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll”, which, along with other very famous tracks, was recorded there. Pete Townshend bought the house from Wood and owned it till last year.

Over to you. :)
