Okay then. I remember thinking it was a cool show but can't remember really following it. I was about 10 when it came out. I don't really look back fondly on TV series when I was a kid,, the format was **** with no story arc just single episodes.

 

I imagine blokes of my age would respond to Favourite 80's TV show? With The A Team, Chips, Magnum Pi etc. Mine was Butterflies.

Moonlighting was a fave as well, very good dynamic between Willis and Shepherd.

 

Good wacky script too. It was fresh, that sort of off the wall stuff had never been done before.

Anyone remember "it's your move" with a teenage Jason Bateman as a bit of a scam artist? That was funny as ****, but too many parents complained and it got cancelled.

Butterflies was ok, not as good as Dear John though.
A few years later, Hot Metal, about a newspaper, that was ****ing hilarious.

 

Same writer I think, Carla Lane. Preferred Butterflies but liked both.

Used to love Auf Wiedersehen Pet back in the day ... but the re-runs are all blurry ... unless it's just my eyesight
