If BoJo stands and he gets in I firmly believe there will be civil unrest.

So MPs are nominating him when he might not even run

I wonder if he would withdraw even if he got over 100. Because why would he want to oversee the current crisis when he doesn’t need to? But he’d be able to always point to how he could have won it back. It’s almost the best case for him

His ego is too big to think like that.
The fact that the Tories are even considering bring Johnson back just goes to show how self-serving most of them are - they don't care about the country or the struggles of the populace.
In the advent of him getting it I hope that at least 40 Tory MPs resign the whip.

His ego is the main reason why he'd take the job now. I mean, it's unheard of for a former PM to return to office 6 weeks after he left and he's convinced he can turn around the Tories fortunes.

I’m not so sure he would come back now (yep, I know wishful thinking)

Whoever comes in is really going to have to perform miracles to get them back in the next GE. Even if Kier Starmer became leader of the Tory party he would struggle to win the next GE.

So like Ralph, the next guy or gal in is a dead person walking. However, once they lose the next GE, then BoJo can go (and get) the leadership and ‘unite’ the party.

Bloody hell don't give them ideas. Having nicked (or reluctantly adopted after sulking) some Labour policies this may appeal to the deranged, wobbly eyed numpties.

I'm hoping for a Saints (Sunak b.southampton 1980) V Pompey (Mordaunt, MP Portsmouth N) final. The biggest derby since Pompey beat the Saints B team in the Hampshire Senior Cup earlier this month. ("They all count"..... PompeyLapras).

Please don’t anyone say this is an outlier, as someone has done for the last 3 or 4 of these. This effectively means no seats whatsoever for the Tory Party, with the SNP forming the official Opposition.

    From that article:

Tory MPs apparently lack object permanence. If Boris disappears from view for a few weeks, he has ceased to exist entirely. Thus if he suddenly reappears, it's a totally new Boris without any of the drawbacks or scandals of the old one.

Might even be a conservative one. I saw one earlier with the Tories on 14% and a 39 point gap
