I think we should keep him, but I do have my reservations about him. I get the feeling that Jose is finding it hard to trust him at the back.
Can't recall how old he is now, but I've just moved six doors up from Darren Purse. Not sure he's up to it now, but I could knock and ask. In a serious note I do think Martin has a future with us, he's nearly there but not quite finished article for me. The best things about Jos are his calmness and reading of the game. Not sure who would be available if we lost Jos.
Usually these deals are done and dusted before a loan is agreed......Although not all......I have to admit I would have been surprised if such a deal had not been agreed prior to agreeing to the loan. He is Dutch so he will not have such a problem with any alliances. They normally just want to play regular football for a decent club. Playing in Europe as Celtic are/were is not a draw if you were not getting into the team anyway. Which of course was happening to Hoover up there. He does seem to be improving game on game and is proving to be a useful addition to the squad.
Could it also come down to wages. Surely Celtic pay more than us. Anyone would take a small pay cut if they were happy, but may be a factor.
