it looked like it. Any time you see them reach that far down the leg for hamstring its a major major one.

It was a calf rather than hamstring apparently.
hmmmm... that would be different one than before then? I was afraid is was ligament plus hamstring down here he was grabbing but the physio look like he was looking at cramp first.. that might well then be calf.
I tore my calf muscles playing badminton and they never really recovered.

That's what I mean - I had very little expert advice and minimal physio.
They did get better, but there's always been a tightness there and I wouldn't stretch as much as before because I could feel that and didn't trust them.
I'm sure Jota will get the best treatment money can buy.

I have taken a lot of flak from Liverpool fans recently.
I love it when supporters come out afterwards, like they did after beating Manchester City, and are wise after the event, but then basically admit that, beforehand, they were feeling along the same lines as my prediction.
Still, you couldn't fail to be impressed with the way Liverpool played against City, especially the back-line who were excellent.
There was a period in the second half where the crowd really got up and backed them and Anfield was bouncing again.
I think they will continue in the right direction here, helped by the fact West Ham are so stretched at the back, although I do fancy Gianluca Scamacca to grab a goal for the Hammers.

Generally, it's rest that's needed for muscles rather than treatment. Just a case of how long.

When I tore a tendon in my ankle, I was told not to play for three months, 3wks later...
It's been about 15yrs now but still hurts if I catch the ball wrong.Same when I broke my arm, was back playing within a couple of weeks (and no pot because I'd had plates)
Don't get much choice with muscle injuries. Go back too early and you just go back to stage one.

But both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in the match at Evens and West Ham to score two or more goals at 11/4 also are certainly worth serious consideration. For the purposes of a match prediction when assessing the prices, the away win stands out.

Are they now back to their best? Despite their fantastically brave and intense performance on Super Sunday, I want to see them back it up before jumping on their bandwagon. Liverpool remain vulnerable defensively, keeping just three clean sheets in their last 13 Premier League games.

We might be back. We might not. I'm going ro wait a few games before I'm convinced either way.
City was special and we were motivated. West Ham will be just one game. Rangers are a third world team.
Neither result will be an indication of who we now are. Together combined with a few more games they'll show if we're back, or just a blip.

My heart tells me that we’ve turned the corner, my head tells me that we did that because we defended deeply against City and there was much less space than usual for our opposition to attack. West Ham will look to do the same to us and counter and our RHS of defence will be an issue again, whoever plays because we’ll be camping in their half. What I’d give for a couple of quick goals for us tomorrow!
Playing Man City is the only games each year where we have to play a different style because we don't dominate possession. Very hard to use that game to judge anything going forward.
Plus, every single one of our players was 100% up for that game.
West Ham won't be like that at all. They'll use usual tactics we see against us; defend and counter trying to exploit the space behind Trent.
