Preview: West Bromwich Albion vs. Bristol City - prediction, team news, lineups
West Bromwich Albion play host to Bristol City on Tuesday evening looking to build on finally winning their second Championship fixture of the season at the weekend.

Despite sitting four points clear of the Baggies, Bristol City have suffered an alarming drop off in form, now only sitting in 16th position in the standings.

We say: West Bromwich Albion 2-1 Bristol City
Bristol City will still feel that there is still a lack of confidence within the Baggies setup, something which they will look to exploit. Nevertheless, we can only back a home victory, potentially by the odd goal in three after what should be a competitive game.
    Bristol City possible starting lineup:
O'Leary; Vyner, Klose, Atkinson; Sykes, Weimann, Scott, King, Dasilva; Wells, Semenyo

I can’t see anything but a defeat from this clash.
But then, we are Bristol City, so stranger things can happen……

I will be there for this one. Felt confident of a at least a point a few weeks back when I booked this one. Now expecting a 2 goal defeat…..

From recent performances I've witnessed, this could be our heaviest defeat so far... But as R&W has quoted we are Bristol City anything is possible..
I'd be happy with a point just to restore a bit of confidence otherwise I see us participating in a relegation battle very soon..
If fit, I would swap Semenyo for Conway

They both played Saturday? Do you mean the player that won player of the month to be dropped Wells?

I’d have Wells and Conway (switching with Weimann on occasions) starting with Semenyo on the bench..
Semenyo does well when he comes on to boost us on later in the game..
He needs to learn to be available in the box instead of going out looking for it..(struggled the last few games for me, maybe not fully fit)

Semenyo seemed to play best last season off Martin with Weimann.

I said it in another post, play either AW and AS up top, or NW and TC

That would be my line up. Or possibly switch Kalas and Klose, with kalas on the right and Klose central.

Semenyo needs to learn to play as part of a team IMO, as good a player that he is....looks for individual glory rather than trying to link with the rest.
Either that we sit him in midfield behind the strikers.. Again in my opinion, we lack bodies in the box when he plays, far too deep for my liking...something NP should be addressing..
For us to have any chance tonight, we need to get back to playing on the front foot with a high press, take the game to them and not try to sit back and absorb pressure (because we're sh!t at it!!)
We are Bristol City so anything can happen, but I fear another Birmingham performance on the cards......hope I'm wrong!

Semenyo needs to be composed in front of goal. Place shots rather than just leathering them with no idea where they are going, as often they sail over the bar. Also he is really strong and can beat defenders, he then needs to learn to get his head up, and make good decisions, to either find a team mate or shoot.

Kalas right footed on the right. Klose is left footed but with Atkinson the more likely to bring the ball out I would go. Kalas, Atkinson, Klose

Team mates need to be on Semenyo’s way of thinking. If he’s going to pass across goal it’s going to be hard and fast just in front of the keeper. Last season Martin may have been the slowest but he was the quickest to react and get into position with Antoine’s crossing.

After his lack of judgement for Millwalls second goal on Saturday, I'd think twice about keeping O'Leary in the team despite the penalty save.

    Not sure who's fit, anyway

    3-5-2
    Max
    Kalas, Atkinson, Klose
Sykes, Williams(or James), Scott, Naismith, Pring
    Wells and Conway.

    Or
    4-3-1-2
    Max
    Tanner, Kalas, Atkinson, Pring
    Williams(or James), Scott, Naismith
    Weiman
    Wells and Conway.

Or Semenyo needs to be on their wavelength, or see where they are and try picking them out, it’s no good just wellying it just in front the keeper if there’s no team mate there.
