If he gets the boot from Villa where does he go then? The Villa job is a perfect stepping stone for him if successful but not looking great at the moment,needs wins quickly though they do have a handy looking run up to the WC.

It's a stepping stone alright but the timing has to be right. I said on the Stevie thread he should've stayed at Rangers and cut his teeth a bit more before moving to the PL. He'd just won the title, he could've gained more experience competing for it again, managing a club playing CL footie. It was the perfect club for him to do it.

He would've always got a PL gig at some point. But taking the job too soon and fcking up, would be a massive disaster. Where does he go?? Basically he was an idiot.

Btw he don't half come out with some bollox. Look at this tripe ffs...

I think with certain individuals, they might need a big moment. I know Phil needs a goal or an assist for him, but his performances have been a lot better.

Ollie Watkins’ performances have been really strong, he just needed that final bit at the weekend. Danny Ings is itching to get on the pitch more, he’s given me the eyes which is great, Cameron Archer has trained now for a full week, he’s looking sharp and I might need to give him more game time, Buendia is knocking on the door to start.

"We’re getting players closer to where we need them in the front positions. We haven’t had them bang at it and firing at the same time, when we do then you can get excited, you’ll see my facial expressions change. When you get Watkins firing, Ings firing, Coutinho firing, Buendia, Bailey, all at the same time we can be an extremely dangerous team. What has happened to us is we’ve had very few of them firing in the opening games, but there has been an improvement."

No wonder the players and fans think he's a nobhead.

Scoring goals ain't a problem for us .. but keeping them out is something else ...

I've been banging on about giving Vestergaard a chance ... he turned out for the U23s against Fulham last night ... we lost 7-0 at home and he played the full 90 ... even better, the first goal was an own goal ... guess who? <laugh>

Just have to laugh tbf ... would still give him a start tbh <yikes>

Losing Mane has destroyed them. Diaz is all fart and no ****e. Doesn't get enough goals or assists.
