Do you have any memories of scary away days? Or perhaps you may have some scary home games you remember? Some of you older lot may have had some pretty hairy moments back in the 80's?

    Tell your stories guys :)

At home to Aston Villa in the early 70's - days when milk came in bottles. After the game walking home along Stapleton Road it started raining - Milk bottles! That kinda got me goin a bit as a young teenager!

Met a bunch of Wolves fans coming out of a boozer on Stapleton Rd many moons ago, got a little rowdy let's say, then managed to get myself bit on the arse by a police dog....memories eh!!

At home to Chelsea in the late 70's. The Tote End was packed when all of a sudden Chelsea was sung out from all areas of the Tote, i have never seen so many different fights in one place. From what i can remember it went off in little scuffles all game with the Gas boys going round the Tote trying to find pockets of Chelsea

I was 14/15 and had run in so many different ways i must have looked like a headless chicken. I was still one of the first to sing you'll never take the Tote end though..:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I can remember my old man who was watching from the enclosure on the way home say "i saw you running" and crack up at his own joke.

There were a few hairy moments doing the aston park/coronation road stroll after playing the **** but most intimidating was Ninian Park. Leicester away (Filbert Street) back in `90-`91 was a **** of a place, ****ing baby squad dodging in and out of the terraced streets. Also remember Luton away in tha FA Cup, think it was 85 or 86. :)

Went to Ayresome Park in the 80's. Gordon (Owen?) missed another penalty to snatch a late draw and we lost 1-0. The Boro fans pelted the coaches with rocks afterwards and smashed a load of windows. Anyone who went to Ayresome would remebre waht an absolute dump it was and the whole area was awful.

I was a poor Uni student living in Birmingham at the time and another City Fan student from Taunton at Uni who I used to go to away games with and I took the train back down to Birmingham New Street. After having avoided the Boro mob on the way to the station, we changed trains at Darlington to be confronted by loads of Cardiff and Wolves fans coming home from games up north. The early banter got nastier as more tinnies were consumed and by New Street it was a full blown scrap on the train. Scary. There was only the 2 City fans on board so we stayed neutral.

Got off intact at New Street to be met by WBA fans coming home from elsewhere and had to bloody run for our lives. Not a great weekend.

I went to a few other games that season from New Street and it was the same everytime - loads of fans from other teams passed thru Bormingham and ther was always trouble. Kind of glad when left Uni!

And lets not forget the playoff games at Walsall when the West Miodland police charged the City end with horses and beat the crap out of several away fans with their batons. Worst Police force I have ever come across in my many years of travelling to away games. I actually fely okay when their van got overturned - bit of justice for their heavy handed tactics.

****, I remember trying to get home from Filbert St, must have been 90/91. One of our mates had the rear window of his car smashed in and the poor bugger in the back was shivering all the way back to Bristol.

Ashton Gate - we thought we were safe and had made it walking back to the centre, then all of a sudden, about a 100 or so ****heads just appeared from nowhere between Queens Square & Welsh Back. They were all tooled up as well!
