    Match Preview;
After a solid win, away at Bristol City, next up we face league leaders Sheffield United. They sit top of the division with 7 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss so far, and are before their 1-1 draw with Birmingham they had won four games in a row. They are the divisions joint top scorers, alongside Bristol City, with 20 goals in the opening 11 games. They have only conceded 6, second best in the division (Preston have only conceded 4, but only scored 3 :emoticon-0118-yawn:...is that a yawn emoji?). Iliman Ndiaye and Oliver McBurnie are their top scorers with 5 goals each.

As for us, we now sit fifth, on 18 points, with 5 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses. The most encouraging part of the Bristol City game for me, was how positive we were. We got the ball forward as quickly as possible and whoever had the ball seemed to have runners giving them options, or creating space for others. It seemed a really positive display. We are certainly going to need to keep that going, and even up the level a bit, as we face tougher opposition on Tuesday night.

Just a final observation. Surely it must go against us that we have travelled to Bristol and back on Saturday, and then head to Sheffield on Tuesday night, whilst they have two home games in a row. I know these things level out over the course of a whole season, but it must cause extra fatigue for our squad.

    Team News
QPR: Rob Dickie is back from injury, while Jake Clarke-Salter and Kenneth Paal have recovered from the knocks which forced them off versus Bristol City. Taylor Richards returns to training on Thursday.

Sheff Utd: Jayden Bogle could make his first start since February, but Anel Ahmedhodzic is not ready to return. Ciaran Clark, Jack Robinson, Enda Stevens, Ben Osborn and Billy Sharp remain unavailable.

    Pre-match Talk
Mick Beale (QPR head coach): "It'll be a big test on the road again - just like Saturday was, just like Millwall was.

"When you go into someone else's back yard, every game in the Championship seems to be an opportunity for the home side to get three points. We try to attack teams away from home as well and, even when we've been beaten so far this season, it's felt like points dropped. We've had enough control in games to have done better.

"At our best, we'll cause anyone problems - but we have to be at our best.

"We're aware of the quality in their (Sheffield United) ranks. I've come up against Paul Heckingbottom in the dugout previously, for Glasgow Rangers against Hibs. They're ten unbeaten and this will be as tough a game as we've had so far."

Paul Heckingbottom (Sheff Utd head coach): "QPR have got some good attacking players. They are good on the counter have have players who can have big moments in games. We have to be wary of that.

"There is a good hunger about them at the minute and they try to play out from the back to get those players capable of big moments on the ball.

"It's obvious that Mick is making his mark on the team, and he has some good players to work with. I can see why he was excited about the job and the opportunity.

"It's going to be tough, but we'll focus on us and our performance - and we'll try to make it as difficult as possible for them."

Enjoy if you are making the trip, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

Sadly my usual crazy Saturday night plans have been scuppered by flu, so a night out would risk missing the 9pm paracetamol dose.

BLADES!! PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF SHEFFIELD! SEAN BEAN! COLIN ‘FOOKIN’ ****ER!! YOOOOORKKKKSSSHIIIIIRE!

**** off Tykes, your nosebleed altitude won’t last.*

    COME ON YOU SOOPAHOOPSA!!

    Point please Mickey.

Cheers Dave and get well soon, before those pesky French suggest a suppository.

    * I actually really like Sheffield, some great pubs (Wards is a lovely pint though it hasn’t been brewed in Sheff for decades), and really nice bits of the city. But the ‘seven hills just like Rome’ makes me laugh almost as much as ‘more miles of canal in Brum than Venice’ ( and many more prams and shopping trolleys in them too).

Shame this is coming so soon after the Bristol game, I hope our boys legs aren't shot from the exertions of that game. We desperately need Paal fit to play and Salter would be handy too. Think Dykes might start this game and possibly Amos too. Gonna be seriously tough and the midfield battle will be key, here's hoping for another Willock masterclass and Beale has the savvy to turn the whippet breeders over !

The last 2 times I've watched the hoops via the red button I've had a decent picture but commentary on a totally different game. Absolutely did my swede in, pouring a drink in the kitchen and hearing the commentator scream as a goal went in, and rushing back in only to realise that Luton had scored v Coventry and no one our game had ! Sky tools

I'll take 3 as always. One of the things I do like about Beale is he goes the way we must go, for 3.

Yes of course. I just find the "I'd take a point" comment the most boring, repeated and negative comment on football forums. I think we should always be going for 3, especially in the Championship where really any team can beat another. Happily it seems Beale thinks the same.

    **** me Ossie!
Of course we all want 3 points.
Of course we want them to always go out to win.
No one is saying we should just play for a draw.

However, having won at BC, it would still be a good result to then take a point away at the top of the league side.

Sorry it was so boring for you.
