I would have thought Liam Rosenier would be putting in an application as soon as the vacancy was announced. Odds are in favour of it going to someone Acun knows, so a Turk, unless someone has Acuns ear and steers him towards the sensible choice which would be a manager that knows the Championship, has contacts here, and I mean contacts earnt over a lot of years, and a proven track record. They will not be short of applicants that's for sure, especially as Deano didn't get picked for the jungle.

Dyche and Parker almost certainly wouldn't be interested in us no matter how the previous manager went and has wilder even left his current role as there seems to be conflicting stories and let's say he has left due to politics., How does that affect/have anything to do with us, shota has left due to a difference in ideas and our poor form ( acun thought he should be doing much better and shota wouldn't accept that things needed to change in the short term to improve things ) it had nothing to do with politics.

Managers/head coaches leave clubs all the time in lots of different ways, does it ever stop the clubs attracting new ones?
Ha ha, I just realised I read earlier on that the Wilder thing was rubbish. Sorry, I remembered seeing the orignal post but forgot the guy had replied later on saying it was rubbish.

On Parker and Dyche I guess we will never know but I remember thinking Steve Bruce would never be interested in us when his name first got linked to us. I just think for all his good work with the Club Acun has today shown a recklessness that would put off managers of a certain level who may have seen some potential in us prior to this.

Acun is considering putting together a committee of not606ers as they can pick teams, choose tactics and run the club better than anyone else. In their spare time the can sort out the economy, bring about world peace and find cures for the common cold and cancer.
Can't even live in reasonable harmony on this board, never mind world peace

Shortest reigns as Hull City manager:

Bobby Collins 116 days
Marco Silva 140
Phil Parkinson 158
Colin Appleton (second spell) 161
Mike Phelan 165
Nick Barmby 175
Leonid Slutsky 177
Jan Molby 189
Shota Arveladze 246

One swallow doth nay a summer make.

Nor a baby, incidentally.

I remain to be convinced. Would rather have someone like Steve Bruce, Neil Warnock, Sam Allardyce, Mick McCarthy, Alan Pardew - all of whom are/were available.
I’ve heard they’ve all been providing analysis of the team on a regular basis

first signing in January is paddy kenny

Disagree with the talk of weird timing.
On the face of it, to my mind, Acun has done things absolutely the right way .... meaning waited until he could do it face to face in person.
He quite possibly would have wanted to do it earlier, say start of this week, but he's been in hospital, has other commitments, etc.
We hear too much of players & managers being sacked by text message, over the phone, 2nd hand or whatever. Fair play to Acun for doing the right thing and also for not delaying until after tonight's match just to 'use' Shota. Daws is more than capable of handling things tonight (not saying it will necessarily go right on the pitch for him, just like it may well have not done for Shota either, but here's hoping).

If we win tonight would Dawson not get somewhat of a chance? Probably a naive move to be fair, and who knows if he'd want it. Tonight's game feels like the season opener again.

So he couldn’t get Shota to go to him then a week or so ago? bloody ridiculous way to do it
The Allams did it this way and you’d be screaming from the rooftops
