I can't wait to see the back of him. He is obviously a good team operations manager, he sorts them out and looks after them. He just can't do the frontline job. If he is still there at the World Cup then I can see us struggling to progress

Couldn't care less whether we win or lose in Qatar. Its not a proper World Cup. If I did care then he's earned the right to take us there. If we don't make the semis (which I don't think we will) he'll be gone. I hope we do fail cos I'd like to see another manager have a crack with these players.

England have been ****e for years with the occasional uptick (1990, 1996, 2021).

Kane, Foden and Sterling look different players to the ones with their teams. The whole set up just doesn't seem to fit with the way the players play for their clubs and they look lost.

There's no one now so close to the world cup. We are just so dull. Players don't look arsed. James was ****e tonight, Foden poor. Start 442 the next game and stick with it. If they are going to stick with wing backs may as well play TAA. Maguire and Shaw man can't get in an average Utd team.

We've had our best two finishes at major tournaments since 66. The idea that he can't do the job is nonsense.

People will talk about the quality of players, but conveniently forget what the England set up was like before he got there and how he continually championed the younger players and picked them. He also did wonders for the England teams reputation as people and within the media, rather than some sort of scandal on the pages of the redtops that we always used to get. He's handled discipline within the squad well and educated as he's done it.

I think there always comes a time for something to be freshened up and after the World Cup is probably the right time for that but he's earned the right to take us to that tournament and he's been a relative success for England regardless of how this one turns out.

He's been massively over hyped for me. Look at the runs we have had at the last 2 tournaments we haven't beaten any of the big teams except an ageing Germany. Whenever we came up against a good or even decent side we've failed. Italy were there for the taking last year and we just retreated into a defensive shell when any other team would have finished them by half time. We done the same with Croatia in the world cup semi those 2 games were so similar it was frightening.

For me he's far too defensive. We have a lot of very good attacking players but don't play to that strength.

I have to disagree mate, we got to the final by pure luck

So what happened to all of the good teams in the tournament?

Are the teams that beat them good teams?
