The pre brexit world has the uk work permit office determined to keep players out.

The new world means its a free for all to give a nod and an envelope and anyone seems to be able to get a permit as a footballer.

Somethings changed in the rules on permits for sure.
As I understand it there are two parts to footballers qualifying for a visa/work permit, a good amount of recent international representation and the status of the league they are coming from. He doesn't have the required international minutes. It seems a cut and dried situation. It's not like appealing a red card which could be open to interpretation.

According to the rules laid out there it's as I said. They use period for qualification as 12 months prior to application. Going on that he gets 0 points for international appearances and because he last played in Brazilian Serie A at 40%-50% he has a total of 6 points. He needs 15. It's rule breaking plain and simple.
Really didn't look at his specific case, just posted the new rules which look fairly easy to pass.

Juventus starting to put out rumours.

Conte is the target.

We will know very very quick if it's real as conte at Chelsea basically decided to get sacked.

Been a lot more talk about Bellingham last few days. All generally about his high price and a lot of talk about how its out of Liverpools range. Even bad news Pearce is in on it.

This was quite obviously going to be the case though, City, Madrid and Co will not only bid big but will have crazy wages, pricing us out.

Which begs the question, why were we so set on waiting this summer for him next summer? Gonna be some major disappointment next summer.

It's ok if he goes elsewhere. Arthur Melo is better. :bandit:

Dortmund weren’t going to sell this summer after losing Haaland. His value isnt going to go down next summer so not like they had any incentive to sell this year.

Hate the way we're trying to compete with the other teams on a ****ing shoestring. If it wasn't for Klopps managerial skills we'd be ****ed.
Yeah we had a few biggish signings but that was a few seasons back and they need reinforcing.Still need to be convinced that Darwin isn't going to be another Andy Caroll and if Arthur Melo turns out not to be a flop I'll show my arse in Lewis's window.:emoticon-0172-mooni

Pearce knows ****e all. That's the good news for the optimists. He's for thr athletic site so isn't totally in the fold as a guy who'd be trusted with anything bar what the club want out in the public domain

I have long since stated Bellingham is not coming. That's for the pessimists to enjoy.

Meh. If he comes to Liverpool, it won't be for the money. He's a highly-rated player and there were always going to be clubs interested who can pay more. So far he's seemed keen on us from a personal perspective, so we'll see if anything changes his mind. If he comes, he comes. If he doesn't, we move on.

There's been a lot of talk about Bellingham for months. International week just highlights it more

we've already set the threshold at 350k or whatever for salah. Its not like he can expect 500k a week at that age anywhere.

The issue for me is real madrid are set now. So, thats out. He has no point going to PSG, that a retirement gig. So that leaves the two manchester clubs, barca, bayern or.....

It will be highest bidder.

The threshold was lower than that before Salah played hardball. Precedent now set. Stand firm and we will eventually cave if we want you enough.

If we sold Salah we'd have a lot more wiggle room to pay Belly's wages. :bandit:

We're giving Salah a good wedge because he's earned it. I don't think anyone will be signing on with us for £350k or even £250k.

It's mad that we're even talking about next summer's signings when this summer's signings have barely played yet.
