See OLMs post a bit earlier, you could end up throwing the baby out with the bath water. DMD is not the only mod who can delete posts, why don't the others delete the posts you find offensive? Some years ago we had a similar thing going on, if i remember PLT stood down and we got cortez as mod (who and this is not criticism is rarely seen) so maybe its time for an additional mod.

I did see it. It wasn’t triggered by me.

DMD is the mod who said that if posts remained it was because they weren’t deemed as racist. He was the mod who suggested I need to redefine my definition of what is racist. He’s the one who deleted threads, changed their name & diverted the purpose.

Any comment in the content I posted? Which are more unacceptable, the posts or the poster highlighting them?

I never particularly wanted to be a mod in the first place, and I've tried to step back a few times, but was asked to stay on, so the board choosing a new mod would be fine by me. <ok>

I suggest Ben for mod. Would be easy for him to do as after a couple of weeks there would only be 2 or 3 of his sycophantic hangers on left posting.

Can understand why PLT stood down. He had other things to sort out.

Given my post below, if a reported post remains, it is because the other mods, not me, have decided it doesn't warrant action, which suggest that in their opinion, you do need to reconsider your definition. None of that has anything at all to do with me.

I know it's repeating myself, but I do think it's worth me clarifying that any posts reported go to ALL mods and supermods, and I have made a conscious decision to keep out of any activities relating to Cheshire Ben, and this has been the case for quite some time, so any reported posts left unactioned, are sod all to do with me, and imply that the other mods and supermods did not support Ben's claims.

He's had this explained to him no end of times, but chooses to keep on ignoring it.

The problem is the threads get destroyed by posters sometimes passionate beliefs and turn into slanging matches. It’s a social media problem. Hopefully if everyone was in a pub together it would be more of a debate with posters putting their cases over in a more reasonable manner.

ps not suggesting a pub meet up …

You can certainly put things across face to face in a pub. There is no nuance in a written forum. Though alcohol and some topics are not always a good mix.

You, as a problem, has being ongoing for longer than you’re letting on with many other posters having similar experiences as me. Usually deleting posts & messing with threads.

You’re desperate to hang on to the power. Prove me wrong.

Prove you are right.

No answer to my previous post then?

I've already proven you wrong on your claim, as it is a fact that I have left your reports to others to save your tantrums, and that's been the case for quite some time. You just choose to keep on trying to ignore that.

You're also wrong on me wanting to 'hang on to power' as I tried to step down several years ago, and a few times since, and on this and other recent threads, have clearly stated that I'm more than happy to let someone else have a go. Again, this seems to be just another fact you try to ignore.

I think the fact you see being a mod as 'power' speaks volumes, as it is far from that, and is actually quite limiting.

Not trawling through all this crap, but from the bits I've read I'm finding it hard to believe what I'm reading.
I'm grateful to the mods for doing what they do, without them we wouldn't have this form. Nothing is nor ever can be perfect, but overall it's pretty darn good.
For those with their issues with how the board is run, just leave and find somewhere else then.
Tip for the mods if I may. Don't give so much oxygen. Do what you need to do, explain it once then move on. If some persist with abuse etc then just remove them; life on the board will go on, and will likely be much better for it.
Thanks for what you do.
