I can see where Chaos is coming from with this one. We have progressed from a team that has 2 good players in Wilson and Maxi in a squad of 25 to a team that now has 5/6 in Wilson, Maxi, Bruno, Trippier (most weeks when fit), Botman and possibly Isak - thats progress <cheers>

Not if we finish 12th: the names you play are just names.

We got relegated with some very good players last time around. It makes no difference what players are on the team sheet.

Look at Leicester City right now. Players down tools when they lose faith in the manager.

I am not saying the players are losing faith. But we have won 1 in 7 and some of Howes decisions are baffling.

Everything is progressing but he's only reading the top line.

Progressing doesn't always mean it'll be reflected in the league standings and other clubs progress aswel.

Comparing league positions when every year its completely different sides from top to bottom can lead you to a misleading conclusion.

What we do know is there's been 100s of millions invested in all areas, so that means progress.

Stfu. You are proper flopping and flipping.

If we don’t finish 10th and above we have made no progress and if you say different it’s mental gymnastics.

If I pull out a dead tree and planted a seed it would be progress.. You just wouldn't see it yet.

See, I agree with that one. Till Saturday Burn hadn't put a foot wrong, knows the league better and has played well. Sometimes you need a player to have an off day to replace him in the starting 11 and that is what can now happen as I believe Burn's positioning for the goal was suspect.

So we are currently dead. Is that what your saying. Cause prior to this season our form was top 4 under Howe.

Burn is a good player but dropping Botman and Howe saying we need leaders is just proper bullshit.

Burn has played no better than burn and is no better leader than Botman. If anything Botman and Schar work better.

Burn is a geordie on gas mate.

No I'm saying progress won't necessarily show on the pitch yet.

We had top 8 form under Bruce the season before but guess what it's a new season with totally different sides at every club.

Burn told the fans to **** off more or less after the game, so I don't think he overly concerned what people other than Howe think.

It is what it is mate I don't think Howe's got much wrong in terms of team sheets it's just he hasn't got the players up top

We're 10th after 7 games and we've only lost 1 game, hardly crisis central. Plus we should be 7th after that Palace VAR.

I just don't get the doom and gloom - Bruno is about to come back, Isak's getting the goals, and ASM will be back very soon too.

We’ve won once all season and are only 4 points better off than at this point last season having spent £200m and still can’t score for ****.

8-10. We are difficult to beat and once other players come back we will be fine. The teams i thought we'd be competing against look terrible and we seem to have others in there that won't last the distance. Aside from goalscoring we have looked really good. We will get there. It says something when we come away disappointed with draws. Had it not been for VAR we would probably be on double the number of points!
