I've not seen the show. My wife is obsessed with it though.

There's a very good reason most Americans are obsessed with our heritage, their own is ****

The birth of their nation was an act of treason, treachery and backstabbing

The first half of the 19th Century was spent butchering Mexican in an illegal land grab

The middle part was spent in a CivilWar to end Slavery that the civilised world had abolished decades before

The last second half of the 19th Century was spent butchering the original indigenous Americans in another illegal land grab

The first part of the 20th Century was spent pretending to be John Wayne and joining two world wars when most of the fighting and killing had been done just to claim credit and dropping two atomic bombs on Japan to punish them for Pearl Harbour

The second half of the 20th Century was spent ****ing up as many countries as they could ie Vietnam

God bles America

And all this whilst preaching and teaching the words of God and Jesus and all of the other ****ed up religions, that frankly have no place in a civillised society.

Anyway each to their own with the Queenie stuff. I can understand that people want to get involved with all the pomp and ceremony if it gives them meaning in their life.

For me, the idea of an institution that is exclusively for the rich and powerful, based on birthright belongs to history. A true democracy would abolish the monarchy as an outdated system of unequal privilege.

But Like I say, if you want to go down the old folks home like Flossy and gather around the communal TV, then good luck to ya <ok>

You forgot to mention the Bantz

maybe we want to do it for the Bantz

Let's be honest though, the Royal Family are a bit like the Chelsea FC of the Aristocracy. If you stripped away the dirty money and bought titles, they'd be little more than the Leyton Orient of the hob nobs.

Just reading the last few pages ive noticed something.

The pro monarchy lot on here are much the same as many of the religious people ive had "that conversation" with.

same in the way that often religious peeps simply cannot except that you dont believe in (insert fake god here) and so they feel its only right that they correct you or change your mind.

Good one, mate.

But Can you dislike someone you dont believe exists?

If you think about like it’s a mathematical formula or ‘technically speaking’ then no…how can you hate something you don’t believe exists

When you factor in typical human thought processes, predjudices and logic then yeah

loadsa people do it.
