The booing previously was aimed at the general tory establishment and the national anthem was just an avenue of which fans could show their detest.
Look away now then The good news is with robbonout he may be kept as a full back sub and you'll get to enjoy his performances there
1 game per week Alisson trent Matip VVD tsimikas Fabinho Thiago Salah Frimino Diaz Nunez elliott sorry to say but you look nice with the ball and run about but learn to put a foot in. will get on second half. Jota will get on at some point Gomez: has played his way out of a shirt for me. 30mins at rb max? carvalaho: prob will get on at some point as LW or no 10. also rans on bench: Adrian arthur - unfit - should be in preseason for the past week plus next 14 days phillips, yeah.. him Bajcetic. kid Milner - reserve LB. hopefully left there prob have to put up with kellehr as 3rd gk to make up bench We let 3 **** forwards who were seniors go. mane (**** head) origi( just ****) and minamino (**** and anonymous) and bought in one senior and one kid. the bench is therefore looking light but with the injuries its even worse. ajax: Pasveer Rensch Timber Bassey Blind (hows this old man still going) Berghuis Alvarez Taylor Tadic (yeah him) Kudus Bergwijn (yeah him) Its hardly world ****ing class now is it. I am expecting a big performance from certain players but theres no excuses here. they know they must win.
Everyone should be fit as has no game for a week and given we have no game weekend then it’s internationals they can be run into the ground and put 100% in with no worry of needing to be rotated at the weekend.
if they can. I'd expect trent to bother his arse and move for 60mins if thats all he can do. if all he can do is stand round like delle alli again then I'm afraid he needs to be dropped for an attitude adjustment.
tbf i think lost / sold about 6 of last seasons team and one of which cost ManU more than Ajax previous seasons total revenue .
yeah ajax certainly have to cope with a lot of change over time but equally: Just the 3.5 goals per game and 0.5 goals agaisnt plus a 4-0 drubbing of rangers as well. I don't think they miss their players sold too much Its really hard to place a side like this til we play them. same as say leipzig a couple seasons ago with a couple dead slow forwards and these supposedly great cbs we walked through. Who knows.....
Thiago back will be a big question mark on how our season will go. Having Thiago and Fabs partner in midfield again is ideal, if both are fully fit and in good form it HAS TO improve us. I'm even going to go as far as to suggest it might be possible we beat Ajax.
I have to question fitness. We will know in 10mins if ajax are fitter and more able to run than us. this si why i was wondering about 4231. something needs to change as 0-0 is better than 2-2 in my eyes here. The depth of defence is utterly lacking. this is what we need to get better at. VVD can't stand there on his won any more scaring attackers. he's shot. We need to get this part right. attack can't get 20 chances and miss 18 and score 2 any more either. we now need 10 chances and take 2. or even less. we cannot over commit bodies forward safe in the knowledge someone will cover. We can't take silly risks throwing hopeful ball forwards in broken play. If you look back last season we ened up on 92 points in the cl final and won 2 cups. Great season but think back to 2-2 v chelsea. we threw in those 2 goals, particularly the second one where henderson tossed a bad ball in broken play at trent rather than allow us get shape. Trent nodded it aimlessly forward to cheslea player and 2 passes and they socred. Roll on this season... same thing. Look at the man utd second goal. 2 players won the ball back only for trent to hoof an aimless ball at thier cbs and they play 2 passes and are in past gomez on the break. the point being if we all chase up winning the ball back we are out of shape, if the guy who gets it first just does something stupid like hoof it at nunez then do expect to see a fast ball coming through us. The shapes gone winning it back! an eary ball is a good thing but with intelligence. the rest of the players need to find their shape and get layers of defense once they do win the ball. the recovery to shape has been pathetic.
I’m strangely optimistic for the game, simply because we can’t be any worse! But in all seriousness, I think Thiago is a huge boost. Him + Fab provides so much stability to this team and I’m hoping it has a knock on impact on the rest of the team. onwards and upwards.
I think klopp would have absolutely ripped them the last week as well. Reading his press conference and what he’s been saying, how was the worse game under him, how it wasn’t acceptable, been some hard truths the last week. I think if we don’t see a massive reaction today then the squad really is in trouble. If you can’t get up for this after having a weeks rest and no game at weekend, having been beaten 4-1 and now playing at Anfield under lights with CL music blaring then really have to have a look at yourself.
We need not just a reaction from the squad but some tactical tweaking to suit the players we now have .
if people can't run... or won't run then they have to come out of team. new players bought for anyone who can't run. Gomez lost his head totally. Matip came on and looked pretty ****ing angry and did alright i thought. Thiago came on and stuck a foot in consistently. he made some difference, though how much i don't know but he wasn't moving very freely either. needs games. Jota came on and couldn't impact much, really too early. need a preseason Arthur came on and looked overweight and couldn't run so again be fair, has to get preseason done now. nunez. needs to pick himself up and stop trying to impress. I've no issue if he barely touches it but keeps making forward runs behind and his touches are shots as long as he works hard pressing. looks so awkward compared to last season for benfica. it was a real mixed bag off the bench I think: Matip won't fix vvd. But... vvd can fix vvd. Trent won't be fixed by taking out elliott but someone will have to cover him somehow or he just doesn't go forward unless willing to sprint back.
Boys and slightly younger boys That last goal the lad walked into the box and the pull back. No real movement so. Great but... Can see the attempt to apply the philosophy of actually pressing
