Having observed this thread and it’s predecessor largely from the fringes, can I add one small voice of sanity please?
It has been said by some contributors here that you believe SCB’s accusations might be motivated not by a genuine grievance, but by a mental health issue.
If that is your opinion, why on earth is there an orchestrated pile-on, led by a moderator and joined by several people who really should know better - ****, one of you informed the board the other day that you are ex-Forces, mate you must have seen some proper mental health issues, are your posts to this thread really illustrative aof how you dealt with it?
When you guys see a person with mental health issues on the street, is this how you react? Why make it any different on here?
If someone called me a racist I’d laugh and move on, I know it’s 100% not true. My very last thought would be to get uppity and orchestrate a pile-on on one poster.
Some of you on this thread should be ashamed of yourselves. And it certainly brings a few people’s contributions on the superb mental health sticky thread into sharp and rather unpleasant relief.

Judging by the lather you've got yourself in over the past 2 days,it appears my coping mechanisms are far superior to those you possess.

It could be worth you having some knowledge of the background, as I have offered many times to help him with what you describe as a mental health issue, and simply got a lot of abuse in my in box, and an absolute denial he has one.
With few if any of us on here being mental health experts, we can only take him at his word, which means he's displaying his personality, rather than a health issue, but I do have genuine concerns for him.
As you also recognise that things aren't right and have concerns, perhaps you could offer him some help and advice via PM?
I seem to recall someone putting a lot of time and effort into. City matters despite his wife having terminal cancer being driven away and having to end his City connections because of bullies on this board.
Best shut the thread now.Of course it will continue to resonate through any other thread going forward but that's for another day.

See, I don't disagree, and the thread is really going nowhere, and is liable to leach. I had hoped it would cathartic and an opportunity for people to lay out their issues so that they can be addressed, but unfortunately they haven't done that.
If I close it, it'll be more 'evidence' to support some of the claims, so I'll leave that to one of the other mods to decide.

He was a regular poster. Who put a lot of time into City matters despite living in Hampshire and his wife battling cancer for a long time before passing away . Didn’t always agree with him but admired his dedication.
